she does not look out for the best interest of the child. She could care less about a young black child in the system. She needs to be removed immediately. She will not even allow you to talk. If I could give her a negative rating I would

Diane Monahan was indeed poorly suited to be a GAL. I think that my favorite question from her to me was, "What does the father abusing women have to do with being a parent(to a daughter)?" She left me speechless. She doesn't stand up for the best interests of the child. She just recommends joint custody. She doesn't take the situation seriously. She doesn't care if the father is a sadist. She seems to favor men. She did not help my child. It has been years and the damage just compounds every year that my child gets older. Ask for a different GAL if she is suggested in your case.

Diane monahan does absolutely nothing and still gets pd by the courts when assigned as a GAL. No communication, no follow up with counselors she assigns, does not show up for court hearings, always chooses the easy way out. Never cares about the best interest of the child. She is useless.
