I had this lawyer for a child custody case. Meeting with the lawyer, all the preliminaries, everything was going well. Then my ex changed lawyers to someone notoriously tough and well known. At that point, everything fell apart. Matthew acted like a child who was equal parts in awe of and scared of the opposing counsel. He suddenly started encouraging me to just give in on many points he was encouraging me on previously. In the end, Matthew ended up costing me a lot. Because of his spineless nature I was talked into signing documents with loopholes that could not be fixed. I was young and needed someone who would be on my side. Instead, this man acted like a little boy on the playground with a tough teenager he wanted to impress. The last 6 years of my son's life have been unreasonably hard and a lot of the blame lies with Matthew. I wish I had never trusted him. If you need a lawyer, find an adult. This man is not one.
