I hired this lawyer to fight a DUI case and he talked a good line. I had been in the hospital just a month prior and was still unstead on my feet. I had bills and witnesses. There was damage on my car from where I had run into a mail box previously at work right after I had gotten out of the hospital that the police said was from that night but I had witnesses from work that saw or heard the day it happened. The police said I traveled a mile after they turned on the lights, Mapquest and google showed that it was less then 0.2 miles total to my house. I had a witness in the car that said they were manufacturing things said. So he shows up to court for two hearing and uses scare tactics to get me to settle because "fighting is risky and a reckless driving with alcohol is not a DUI". I have found out since that the penalty is exactly the same. Last I heard it wasn't against the law to drive while sick.
He was not avialiable and nor did he appear to even want to discuss the case.
