I was referred to Attorney Manning by a co-worker who said he did an excellent job and even returned his phone calls. I am glad I retained him. I researched and asked around a bit and discovered that Attorney Manning has a great reputation, he was an all-american athlete who attended college on a scholarship and also has an MBA in accounting. He handled a very complicated divorce trial for me which included dividing my family businesses. He set up an LLC which made transferring the assets, including real estate, very easy. I found attorney Manning to be very professional and trustworthy and he really knows what he is doing. Not to mention, but he was the best dressed lawyer every day in court. He looks and presents well and as you can tell I highly recommend him.

Very satisfied with Attorney Manning's representation and trial work. I had a very complex divorce that he had a strong command of the legal issues, was a great negotiator and guided me through the process and was there for me every step of the way.

I foolishly used Walter Manning at the suggestion of the business broker who sold me a business. Manning went on and on about how he would protect me regarding the lease for my shop. Turns out, after a boatload of payment, he ended up selling me down the river. My lease is horrible, expensive, personally guaranteed. On top of that after much discussion about being incorporated vs. and LLC, he failed to inform me how expensive being an LLC is in RI and never informed me of the corporate restrictions and fees that I was subject to. On top of that for four years, when the state tried to contact me and warn me of my LLC being revoked, Manning had set himself up as my agent. He claims he forwarded all correspondence from the state to me, yet the state read their file notes that said all mail had been returned to them. Manning had moved his office but failed to inform the state. I strongly recommend that if one is considering using Manning for any legal reason, DON'T.
