Chandler Travis, Travis Law Firm represented our HOA on a disputed Crime Free Lease Addendum. Despite homeowner complaints that the CFLAs implementation was in violation of our CC&Rs, Chandler advised the Board to proceed with implementation and collection of fees from lessors. A year later Chandler Travis, Travis Law and our BOD were taken to an administrative Law Judge who slapped us with two civil violations. Within a month, all board members either resigned or were voted out, and the management company quit. Today, our new board is too afraid to implement a very reasonable CFLA that can conform to our CC&Rs and they may be on the hook for repaying over $5600 in bogus CFLA fees. Everyone in our community lost on this matter.
