This attorney does not deserve to have a license to practice law. He failed to obtain for me what the law permits me to receive by equitable distribution, went to hearings unprepared, failed to secure alimony for me, and apparently never reviewed any financial information regarding my husband. He failed to check whether an asset he listed was or was not, in fact, a marital asset subject to equitable distribution. This attorney is the worst attorney I have heard. Never choose his as your attorney!

Patrick Harrington has no moral nor ethical standard! He took all the money upfront and did nothing, nothing in its literal meaning of the word. He doesn’t know how to handle a case. He seems like playing a role of “interpreter” of the other side. The most word I heard during he represented me was “they said you can’t”. After two years, I've lost time and money and it seems that is the conclusion of my case.
I feel like crap but to all of those who live in New Jersey, beware of this person and be careful when selecting your attorney, don't be like me!

I hired Patrick Harrington P.C to represent me in my contested matrimonial matter. The negligent errors he made during his representation were obvious and odious: 1) He missed the discovery deadline. As my lawyer he attended the mediation meeting without even single page of my ex's financial documents;(Can you believe that?) 2) He failed to inquire about and even notice my ex mislabeling of assets as exempt from equitable distribution; 3) He failed to file any temporary support relief for me when I was clearly a candidate for and required such relief; 4) He forced me to accept the grossly unacceptable offer. His malpractice in my case was too inconceivable to believe. The reason I believe is conflict of interest – my ex’s attorney was Skoloff’s law student and used to work in this law firm -- they were colleagues at least. Because of him, I did not get alimony even though my ex’s income was 5 times more than mine. Because of him, I did not get equitable distribution of marital assets.
