What an awful attorney. She is all talk with nothing to back it up. She didn't show up for more than half of our court dates or bother to let us know she wasn't coming. We had hour long meetings with her about our case, got charged for them and then she couldn't even remember what our meetings were about. She had 2 months to take care of something for our court date and never bothered to do it. Her office never returned phone calls or communicated with us. The only way we could find anything out was to call the office several times a day for weeks at a time until her snotty paralegal answered the phone. Her paralegal is completely unprofessional and rude. We were charged more than double the amount of time for phone calls. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

As someone who had a great experience with this lawyer find it interesting that these ratings deleted 7 positive reviews and only 2 negative. I think my positive rating was deleted. She battled and won for me. Even though I ran of money long before it was over.

Cynthia is the first lawyer I've ever had in dutchess family court willing to take the judges and cps to task. She's afraid of noone. And not in the pocket of the system. If you follow her advice you'll get a fighter

I was innocent totally innocent and charged with murder because a dirty cop and a corrupt judge wanted something from me i didnt have. Cynthia and her staff believed in me and fought for me money never mattered. She won. She beat the odds and a corrupt system. Thats the kid of lawyer they should all be

DEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAWYER!!!! She is completely unethical and does not do the right thing. All she wants is your retainer and then will bill you for things that never happened. You expect a certain level of professionalism when you retain a lawyer for a criminal case, especially when your retainer is Thousands of dollars. The staff was completely unprofessional and I felt like I was taking my case more serious then they were. I ended up having to change lawyers as if what was going on in my life wasn't difficult enough. I can't even begin to describe the difference between the new lawyer I retained compared to the one I decided to leave. Going with this lawyer is a BAD IDEA there are plenty of lawyers out there, do the research and make the right choice and don't make the mistake I did!!! TAKE my advice do not RETAIN this lawyer.

first off genious reason people role there eyes when they hear her name is because they are jealous this lawyer is good,maybe if you helped her do your case you would have a better outcome,she is busy is she suppose to stop and just talk to you on the phone? she will get your case solved why wouldnt any of you assist her in your case? think about it why would u not assist? jackass dopes,there is plenty of things you as a petitioner or respndent can do to help in your own case! she is good,9 times out of ten she was probably appointed to you and you have the balls to complain! next time represent your self rocket scientist

Ms. Kasnia went above and beyond . I called her in a panic over a case . She took my case ,resolved it quickly. She is not there to hold your hands sit and listen on the phone to your whinning .She takes the facts and goes full force into the court. She can not hold your hand everyday ,she needs to be working on cases . I would hire her again if I ever needed. If a lawyer got emotionally involved with every client ,they would lose their minds. SO in that dont expect her to be sappy ,but do expect her to tell you like it is and get the job done . Thanks for the help .Ms. Kasnia

Not a good lawyer at all. Does not return calls, does not listen to client's needs. I cannot believe the unsatisfactory service I've received. AND the secretary everytime asks, what is this in regards to? REALLY? How about calling a client back, I called every day for two weeks, sometimes numerous times a day and not a single phone call back! So now I have to go to court not knowing what happens next. BAD LAWYER, DO NOT HIRE OR HAVE HER APPOINTED TO YOU! FREE ISN'T EVEN WORTH HER SERVICES!! STAY AWAY!!!

I did not have the same experience of the last two clients at all. Cynthia started out strong, but in the end, left me out to dry. Like the others, my phone calls were very slow to be returned. Her court presence was weak and unprepared and her thoughts in the courtroom seemed to be scattered as she stammered along. Very unhappy with the results.

I was going through a really bad divorce and custody case since 2004. My ex husband tried everything he could to get full custody of my son for years! Cynthia worked on my case day in and day out.... And FYI I had 5 different lawyers working on my case from the same firm through out the years and not one of them could win this for me but Cynthia! Since the summer of 2008 I have sole custody of my son thanks to her! She had a lot of rough bumps with my case along the way and there was a point where we didn’t think I was going to have any type of custody. But she busted her butt and dug deep! I owe her so much! I read the last few comments and all I can say is that’s not the Cynthia I know! Thanks Cynthia! M.H.

The biggest mistake I have ever made in my life was not marrying my ex, but hiring Cynthia Kasnia. It's difficult to explain how poorly I was represented without coming across as "libelous" so I will just say, save yourself the pain of losing your children and your house and your money and hire a more competent attorney. If there was a score lower than one, I would use it across the board. Enough said.

she represented me in my divorce and could not have been more unresponsive and unprepared any and every time we went in front of the judge, do yourself a favor and don't hire her, but see if your spouse will........

My sister in Law used her in her Divorce and all I can say is what ever you do, don't make the same mistake she did!!!! She was consistantly unprepared, and her communication was awful.....
