I am so glad I filed bankruptcy. I feel like I have my life back and can move on. No more crushing weight, phone calls, stress, nothing! It took 5 years but well worth it for my future. Keith Collier law firm was awesome and made the whole process so easy and stress free. Thank you!

The attorney Dax Miller was working in my bankcruptcy case and also my mortgage loan modification. After 3 year he didn't get what he promised me that he will do.After a call with Keith Collier he told me that if I decide to stop my payment plan with the Trustee I dont own them nothing. KNOW the Trusty send me a check in my name but the Keith Collier Law firm wants to keep my money. After they didnt do anything even the mortgage company took out of the bankruptcy my mortgage loan. After 3 years of payments. Just to let you know I call the mortgage Co. and I get my loan modification BY MYSELF in ONE WEEK! Now I know how hard they work...

First consultation was informative and I thought we were on the right track. It all fell apart from there, however. Keith Collier was condescending in demeanor, to say the least, and after we had set up an appointment to begin the process, he completely dropped the ball and stopped responding altogether. After reading these reviews I realize he did me a great favor. I will say, though, that to commit to someone and then slam the door in their face is both unprofessional and unacceptable. I urge anyone considering this attorney to use great caution before handing him any money or depending on him in any way.

My bankrupcy was handled by this firm. My case was handled by Dax Miller. He was GREAT! Johnny-on-the-spot with answers to all my questions ( I had tons). Everything went just as Mr. Miller said it would and he kept me informed on everything. I would highly recommend this office and Mr. Miller. I came to the office in tears and embarrassed. Mr Miller put me immediently at ease and I was always treated with respect.

We had a phone consultation with Mr. Collier and received an e-mail on his fees. When we arrived at our first meeting, we were surprised to discover that we would be working with a paralegal. I rated knowledge based on the paralegal due to the fact she was the one to answer our questions and we never met Mr. Collier. The office staff are rude, do not return phone calls and we had to call them when they did not return calls. I rated his tenacity and work quality as bad because he never lifted a finger to assist us, it was his paralegal and a attorney from his office that we did not meet until our hearing with creditors. Our bankruptcy was discharged but with the office never returning calls, their rudeness, lack of meeting a attorney, and us having to chase them down we do not feel we got value for our money.

For "knowledge" I put 5 because Mr. Miller and Mr. Collier told me that I was able to use different asset protections than Florida because I had just moved from New Jersey. Apparently, this meant I was able to protect/save my whole savings account of $5,000.00. For communication, I put 5 because I was always able to get ahold of Mr. Collier & Miller - ALWAYS. For "tenacity", I wasn't super sure what tenacity was but "momma didn't raise no fool!". This firm was always on my side and took good care to make sure my case went through perfectly. Work quality and value fall into the same category to me. Mr. Collier and Miller were able to file me for less than any other attorney's office I could fine. Seriously. It was kind of ridiculous. My whole bill was like $1600 and they filed me right off the bat without making me pay all the fees at the beginning. That means something to me. No other comment.

Genuine and brilliant.....Dax Miller is a knowledgeable advisor...
Dax handled my Bankruptcy / Chapter 13 matter.
I have previously worked with 3-5 lawyers.
When I first began writing this, it started to sound like a review of a great new luxury car... However Dax Miller, while top quality, is a stellar attorney whom, far out-values a depreciating vehicle. The level of service that he has provided to our family is almost indescribable. Within humanity he allowed us to retain our dignity, with his knowledge he allowed us to regain hope under the most bleak of circumstances without leaving us feeling humiliated....and now because of his thorough advisement, we have a plan for our family's future. A simple review seems too commonplace to express our thoughts, however, for anyone that researches, and wants a real recommendation, then I want to assure you, that you will be overwhelmed at the high level of service and expertise that you will receive from Dax. (....and no this is not his

By far the WORST Attorney!!! You pay them and you never talk or see Keith, correspondence is horrible, my 3 year old can do better, the office girls need a class in customer service, they act like they are doing you a favor when in actuality your paying them. They don't listen and they treat you like a spoke in the wheel. Now I know what a puppy goes through at a puppy mill, stay away people, you have been warned, don't let the 400 down bait get you, I don't even think Mr C exists!!

Terrible communication! If you need to know something you about your case you you better plan on emailing them and calling for an answer. They sure won't follow up with you! At times the staff can be very rude like you are bothering them. Once they get your money you take a second seat to them. I NEVER met the attorney Keith Collier. His staff did everything for him. If I had to do it all over again I'd be damned if I could pick his office.

I initially contacted Mr. Collier's firm and had a phone interview with a Mr. Miller from the Orlando office. Mr. Miller did a phone consultation with me, free of charge, for about 25 minutes. He analyzed my financial situation and finally told me I should file a chapter 7 (which I did, but, unfortunately not with his firm). Mr. Miller told me there was a good chance that I would have to pay the trustee back for part of my Chevy Tahoe that was worth more than I owed but that my home would be protected as long as I kept current with my mortgage. He then gave me an estimate of about $2,500 that I should expect to pay the trustee over a 12 month period after my hearing. He then briefly summarized the whole consultation. Then he quoted me fees and gave me a fee option where I could pay only $400.00 to get my case filed and then pay the rest of the fees after the case was filed and they had done the majority of the work. Easiest decision I ever made and was done in 3 months.

I never met the attorney, but only worked with the assistants. My discharge was fast and effortless; however, I had a major debt that was not included. I called the office and sent e-mails prior to my discharge. I was told that my case manager would contact me, but I never heard anything back after numerous calls and e-mails. I received my discharge in the mail without ever hearing back from the office. So...I still have a major debt left on my credit. I called and asked to speak specifically with the attorney, and as of yet I still have not received a return call. Of course, I have paid my money and I guess that is all that matters to them.

I just got discharged on my chapter 7 with Keith's Orlando office. Dax Miller was my attorney and I am very, very pleased with how he handled my case. I could call literally any time with questions and they were answered on the spot. I think I even emailed him at 7am on Saturday and to my suprise I was answered within 15 minutes! That guy needs to get some sleep!! Anyways, I couldn't have been happier with how my case went. They made it so easy and stress-free that I already have two of my cousins meeting with him this week!

I filed with Mr. Collier and my case ended about a month ago. I was able to do a free phone consultation with Mr. Collier because I couldn't get into the office due to work schedule. Mr. Collier quoted me fees over the phone and then emailed me them in writing (something no other attorney was willing to do that I talked to before Mr. Collier). I came into his office about 2 weeks after our initial phone consultation and met with Mr. Collier again. He asked me about 30 minutes worth of questions and then his assistant came in and had me review documents for my signature and then Mr. Collier came in again to answer more of my questions. My case was filed that week which was good because I needed to stop a garnishment. I was very impressed by Mr. Collier's firm including his staff. Some of the reviews on this website were very helpful and other's seemed confusing and spiteful. You have to be your own advocate! Do your own research and live with it!

SO I met with him once for a free consultation, then my second appointment (and final appointment) was with one of his two (?) paralegals. Her name was Crista or Krystal, apparently they have two paralegals with similar names which is kind of confusing. Anyways, I met with her for about an hour and she asked me about 100 questions and then said she had to let Mr. Collier or Mr. Miller review the final product. My case was filed within 3 days. I had my court hearing about a month later and I wiped out about $25,000.00 worth of credit card and medical bills. Say what you want about customer service or communication, the bottom line is that I sat down with an attorney for my initial consultation, my case was filed quickly, and I got rid of all of my debt. I feel like I got the best deal out of the three other firms I contacted and as long as I communicated by email, I got responses to all of my questions within 24 hours. Take this information and do as you please. ~ Happy Customer

The only reason I used this attorney was because I could make payments for chapter 7. I am really rating the staff here, I only met Mr. Collier on the initial visit, and never saw him again. I am giving the communication a 1 because that is as low as it will let me rate. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would have chosen another attorney to handle my bankruptcy. His staff lacks professionalism. Items of great importance were not followed through, like the reaffirmation of my auto loan.(I was told it was "lost in the mail") Unless you are familiar with the bankruptcy laws as well as the ins and outs of filing chapter 7 I would NOT use this firm.

I filed chapter 7 with him October 2008 and he was very knowledgable and informed us of everything that was going on. Any questions we have had even after the bankruapcy his staff answered and helped us along. He is a great attorney and I have recommended him to friends.

Cheapest bankruptcy attorney I could find in jax. He gave me more info in the first consultation and the other three attorneys I contacted wouldn't even give me answers about my case unless I paid $100 and signed a retainer. Getting ahold of him by phone was hard bc he was always "in appointments" but I started emailing him w/ questions and they were usually answered w/in 24 hours. Overall, I was very pleased!

He made a terrible situation easier to get through than I ever could have imagined. He also had the cheapest fees I could find in Jacksonville. I would recommend him.

I'll start out by saying I have no idea what these other reviewers were talking about - my experience with Mr. Collier's firm was about as pleasant as could be expected (considering I was filing for bankruptcy :( ). I would've given him five out of five in all categories but he did have to do some research for me on a problem with my corporation and taxes so I dinged him on "knowledge" category. Other than that, he was great and his employees did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. Something in that office must have changed since those other reviews were written.

We filed chapter 13 2/09. Once he got our money, he was pretty much done with us. He allowed our vehicle to get repossessed (on Thanksgiving day) 9 months into the chapter 13 (no fault of ours ie..we were making our payments) this happened just 1 week after we were told by his PA that it was all corrected, don't worry about it. There is a definant lack of/poor communication between him, his staff and clients. We had to question many things in our case....claims being filed twice, ect. There were times we only found out things by receiving a letter from the court....like when our chapter 13 payment increased. He is a poor advocate and we would definantly NOT recommend him to anyone. I'm sure there would be many other complaints if people took the time, or knew where to write one. Perhaps he is ok with Chapter 7....but not with our Chapter 13. We plan to also write the BBB, Bar association and any other place we can, perhaps will help other people who are looking for an attorney.

The worst yet. We paid him in full and he dropped the ball from the word GO! We were not given copies of what was filed before it was filed...had to get them from his office. Failed to show at the hearing, some other guy showed up from another firm to cover for him. Failed to file the Financial Management Class which are mandatory before discharge and we recieved the letter that the BK was DENIED because of this...we had to hold his hand to make sure this was filed with the courts and now we are still waiting to hear from the court. Our advise: Run from this office!!!! They are definetly in to catching you off guard because then they can double charge you for filing twice.

This attorney is only in the business to collect the fee. Calls and letters are not returned or acknowledged. Additional fees were attempted but the Trustee denied his request. My only correspondence is from the Bankruptcy court and Trustee. My expierence with Mr. Collier and his staff have been worse than the acutual losing of my home. Not only do I "not"recommend his services but am willing to do anything legally possbile to have him disbarred.

Does not return phone calls once he has received his payments. Check for additional fees being placed against your trustee account. If I ever had to do this again I would go elsewhere.
