Phillips took my retainer and did absolutely none of the work she promised. She refused to advocate for me after my mother died although this was a clear expectation when I hired her to deal with a guardianship matter. As a result of her failure to do her job, I was denied access to my mother's home, denied information about arrangements for the body viewing, was excluded from funeral planning. Her failure to file critical documents in a Trust dispute left me vulnerable to litigation that has now spanned two states & cast me many tens of thousands in legal fees. Laurie is a big talker, but short on action. She loves the drama of politics & claims to be a compassionate person. But apparently her civic responsibility didn't include a sense of responsibility toward her own client in my case.
