Met with him for a "free consultation that was a total of 15 minutes and to which he was 10 minutes late showing up to. Told him we were undecided about bankruptcy but he urged us to leave a deposit of which he told us would be refundable if we did Joe proceed as no work on th case would begin until entire few was paid in full. Decided not to file so called office regarding refund. Was ignored. Emailed, was ignored, emailed again threatening to report to the bar and then finally got a curt reply. A week later, I received a letter basically denying my refund abs he cited extensive work on my case as the reason. He didn't even have any information on my case to do any work on it. Flat out lied to try and justify keeping my $. Even described the initial 15 min meeting as going far beyond the free consultation. Stay away from this crook. I will be making a formal complaint to the bar as well.
