Dan always made us feel as if we were top priority and his only case. He prepared for the case extremely well, did his homework, and missed no details. His courtroom manner, from jury selection to his final argument was always professional but with a personal touch that connected with all concerned especially the jury. His final instructions to the jury included a noteworthy reference to the uniqueness of the American system of justice and the importance to the individual of being innocent until proven guilty and guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The State's prosecuting attorney seemed clearly out of her league against Dan.
