I used Lou for a very high-conflict divorce and had really good results. A couple things I liked about him: His retainer and run rate were reasonable and competitive. He was honest and fair with his billing. Attorneys are paid by the hour, so be prepared. Expect to pay for every phone call taken and every email read. If a phone call with him was roughly 20 minutes, I got billed for 20 minutes. If we met for an hour, I was billed for an hour. He’s very experienced. Nobody has a crystal ball, but he was pretty accurate when predicting the outcome of many specific key events. He didn’t strike me as greedy. Lastly, he’s got a really good supporting team. I ended up with 50/50 custody of my kids, and reasonable support and alimony obligations. Would definitely recommend. I'd put more details but there's a 1000 character limit.

I had this lawyer also about 5-6yrs ago-- and felt like I did all the work- I had decent results-- but didn't believe it was due to his work.

I used this attorney about 10 years ago and thought he was great. Recently, I had chose him to represent me in my divorce and he did a very poor job. $3000 up front and no call backs. He continuously forgot details about my case and had to be constantly reminded what was going on. He also shakes very badly during court and that makes him look nervous. This combined with his lack of memory is embarrassing in court.
