As an Estate Lawyer, he did nothing to help us. Always siding with the other side. He had no problem accepting thousands of dollars, but treated us very unprofessionally. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Forms his own opinions no matter what you say. Gets very angry very easily, pretty much a hot head. Would never hire him..........

I requested 3 major points for Mr Jakus to deal with for me. 1st was to see the inmate ahead of time not right before his hearing. He had 1 month,but showed up about 5 days before, not allowing any time to change or discuss tactics. He waited until the week before to get paperwork needed from the inmate's PO, 2nd I requested he speak with a former PO to verify some information on parole rules. He NEVER bothered to contact that PO. I spoke directly to the PO in question and he told me no contact was made by Mike Jakus. 3rd I requested he verify the amount of Parole time showing. He did not do this either. I believe he took my hard earned money and did almost nothing to help. I would never recommend him to anyone. I also feel he needs some type of discipline for this "refusal" to do what was specifically conveyed to him and to which he agreed to do. As a lay person I relied on a "professional" to assist in some defense. I would have been better served using a public defender.
