John Burns doesn’t not care about you, your family or Veterans. John Burns is kicking me to the curb as a client within weeks of my court date because I can’t afford to give him another $5000. I’m a resident of Florida and just went through Hurricane Ian. John could care less. He has taken over $20,000 from me and I have not gotten anything in return besides credit card debt. Everything John makes happen has an expiration date, so he can make more money. I asked John for some pro-bono work, he said NO!. I have no debt with Burns Law Office and when asked for a few hours of his time he says no. After all the monies given and you say NO. You are a piece of work. John Burns is just another entitled attorney who sits back in life while everyone else gave him his freedom, like veterans. We are a Veteran family and he just kicked us to the curb. A man who told us he came from a Veteran family and would fight to the end for us. John is Egocentric a hypocrite, Liar and Two Faced. Stay away.

Run as fast as you can!! Do not use this lawyer he is absolutely awful! He will take all your money and accomplish nothing. He makes things worse not better. Don’t become his next victim!

Bad lawyer do not hire likes to resource his work hides behind paralegal expects you to do his work charges work to opposing attorney who in my case was making critical mistakes has excuses for his failures and loves to get as much money as he can for little return

Do not hire this man!! I hired him to represent me in my divorce. He promised many things that he never followed through with. He charged for calls to opposing counsel and when I asked to see records and proof of those calls, he did not have them. He showed up over an hour late for the court date and was totally unprepared. He hides behind his secretary and assistants. He doesn't return phone calls or emails. He has his secretary and assistants do his work then charges for both his time and their time. I paid over $12000 and received nothing that I requested in the divorce. He will call you personally though when he wants money from you. Do not hire John Burns!

This guy over charged me for services and then completely disappeared on me. Very responsive with billing me, but when it came to returning phone calls, keeping appointments, and meetings he did not hold up his end of the deal. After paying him thousands of dollars, I am having to pay another attorney to repair the damage that his lack of responsiveness has caused. If you are thinking about using this guy run away and find another attorney.

I retained him for my divorced. He never returned any phone calls or emails. He showed up 45 minutes late for our conference with the opposing counsel and then charged me for the time that he was late for. He wasn't prepared and I ended up losing my home and all my personal assets. He charged me for correspondence that I never saw proof of and I was overcharged charged every time I met with him. I finally fired him and rehired another attorney only to have her have to restart over because everything he had done was completely screwed up...horrible.

Over charges and poorly prepared..worst attorney I have ever hired. But he sure wants everybody to know he was listed on the super lawyer once and years ago entered a triathlon in Hawaii. This guy didn't return my calls and when court came he wasn't prepared and said the court made a bad decision when they ordered me to pay$17,740 in spousal maintenance and child support. Don't hire him unless you have a lot of money to waste.

Mr. Burns took $15,000 from me and accomplished absolutely nothing! He spent $10,000 in less than 6 weeks, and that did not even include any trial time. Then, 4 weeks away from my divorce trial date, he dumped me once he spent all my money. His letter stated "I could not afford him". In no way would I recommend this attorney to anyone
