I was denied my long term disability and Matt Lalande took my case. Throughout my case, which took a year, Heather wass a great help. Words cannot say enough about Matt. He is professional, educated, honest, responsive and last but not least he is caring. This is the third time we have dealt with Matt and although you’d think it can’t get any better it does. One of those times, was a really tough one where a case that was over ten years old came back to haunt us because our prior lawyer passed away. Somehow we owed lawyer fees for a case that had already been settled. He was able to clear it up and get us some money out of it as well. I hired Matt Lalande after being rear-ended and badly hurt in an accident on my way to work. Amazing idea as all my fears were dealt with by Matt’s knowledge and experience... as a single parent and the only income I had many. What happened as a result of hiring Matt is...I received the care I required, my children got their mom back and their mom got her life back. My elderly sister was killed while walking across Appleby in Burlington. Matt was able to negotiate a payout in less than 2 months with the insurance company for the driver that hit her. I was in a head on crash and I was hurt terribly in 2009. Matt settled my case on the eve of trial a few years later. It was a lot of work and I was 100% sure we were going to court but the case settled. He is a very good lawyer. I liked that he was not like a lot of lawyers and was just so easy to talk to. I would always go back to him. I am still so happy I hired him.

Matt took on my LTD case just under 2 years ago. I am not going to lie it is a crazy process and at times I didn't think I could handle it. If I could go back I would have just emailed/called Matt more often as when I did he always calmed me down and walked me through the process. He prepared me well for my discovery and got my case mediated. My case was very complicated and he took the time and found the resources to understand it. Even though my case would have gotten me more in trial, Matt respected my choice to settle it in mediation and fought hard for me. In 2007 I was hit head on while stopped at a red light. I was later diagnosed with a number of conditions and after about 3 years, Matt settled my case with a mediator before going to court. In hindsight, I should have waited and gone to court as i now have a rare spinal cord disease (syringomyelia) along with cervical tarlov cysts all due to whiplash and the impact of the accident. :(

Matt settled my case just before Christmas at a mediation. Hard to get a hold of but he always made me feel so taken care of when we talked. I heard most cases take 3 years anyways and he represents lots of people. I am very happy.

Did a great job. Super hard to get a hold of at times thought. Now my case is done what he was doing all makes sense. There is a process to it. Cases take a long time. BTW hit by a transport in bad accident on skyway in '09. Had to have lumbar fusion. Accident ruined my career as welder. Frank.

I agree with most posts on here. The only problem is that Mr.Lalande seems extremely busy and sometimes it take a really push to get a hold of him. I liked that he used text messaging. It made me feel better that he was getting and responding to my messages even if he was too busy instead of waiting 3 weeks to see him. But with that aside he's real good at making things simple and to my level so you understand what's going on.

Matt works with Michael Lamont in Hamilton - he used to be in Burlington. When he moved he took my case with him. The quality of work with his new firm shined through. I was in a car accident and he has once girl Carrie that just does accident benefits work for him, which helped out so much. Everything turned out pretty fantastic, despite my worries with his move. We resolved my case days before trial for an amount for in excess that I ever expected. I just wanted some money put aside to help with rehab (I had knee surgery and rods put in after being hit by a van) and I got more than enough to help me fund physio or whatever for the rest of my life.

I was t-boned in a bad car accident and broke my pelvis and knee and went through all sorts of problems with my work. Eventually I had to have my knee replaced and my pelvis will be messed up for life, despite it taking awhile Matt helped me get a good settlement right before going to Court. It all worked out.

My mom slipped and fell and hit her head on a sidewalk curb and suffered a brain injury and was no longer able to take care of herself. Matt helped out my family like you would not believe. He even drove to my house to see my mom. He helped her recover a settlement that puts her and my dad debt free plus more to be comfortable for the rest of their lives. A+
