My wife and I entered a "collaborative" divorce process. We were told that this would be the most straight forward method of obtaining a divorce. The process, which is not complete after nearly a year and based on the this attorney's work was going to take over 20 months. I spent more than $25,000 on this attorney and did ALL of the real work. I prepared the parental plan. I prepared the budgets, I prepared the asset and debt division proposals. Each time I sent this attorney information, what I got in return was obviously a cursory review of the materials and a very large bill. He was not well informed on taxes as they related to our divorce. Even though my wife and I both wanted to get to a settlement, he kept pointing toward arbitration or an expensive trial. I would never recommend this attorney to anyone as I do not believe he really has his clients vested interests other than to drive toward the most expensive resolution possible.
