I do not recommend this firm. John Bergdoll will not take your case if your a working minority. He gets rich off his $250 consultation fees. He will waste your time and make you believe he wants to help and after a week of ignoring you, he sends you an email saying he’s to busy to take the case. He books his schedule every hour for consults only. 250x8 hrs a day plus his select affluent clients his father gives him. It’s sad when the lawyers become the crooks and deceivers that are supposed to help you fight justice. Do not hire this firm and truthfully this is his loss, should’ve worked with me this would’ve been a bigger payday for you had you been honest. You Never know who your turning down as a client just cause their black and you think they are poor. But I thank god you did because it was a blessing in disguise

John the elder took my case pro bono in 2009. At first John was great. Then he hired a paralegal named Meg Hill-Grigson and everything changed. I was fighting a slumlord landlord who retaliated against my mother and I. The landlord finally got me evicted illegally and John stood by watched. He did nothing. He bullied me into signing my car over to Meg as he claimed I owed her 8000.00 for 'legal' work she performed. While I was homeless, destitute, carless, depressed and suicidal, John withdrew improperly and without notice to me. He didn't file a brief that would have allowed me to sue the slumlord for illegally evicting me. He expected me to write the brief while homeless and mentally ill. John left that monster slumlord go free. Meg still has property of mine that she refuses to return. I filed a disciplinary board complaint against John in April 2015. John caused me to lose everything. I have PTSD and think about ending my life frequently. Stay away from this law firm at all costs.

Free consultation ending up costing me $350.00 and I never received copy of letter, which I paid for, and was told it would be mailed (via regular mail) to my ex-husband. Letter was never received by ex or myself. If is an indication of the way this attorney conducts business than I think it is time for him to retire and I will be filing a complaint with the Pa. Bar Assoc. Ethics Committe if I do not receive a full refund or Mr. Bergdoll or he does provide copy of said letter and proof it was received by my ex-husband. Shocking behavior from an attorney.
