Been trying to get a property settlement since my divorce in 2010. had many communications with his office and many delays, always been told we we settle it when we get to court, only to be given a stack of papers by the paralegal one day stating the cased is closed, the property was settled back in 2010. I asked why have I been told it hasn't been settled and led on all these years and was told if I want to continue the case I could rehire them. I still have yet to see any money from the settlement that I did not agree with. Ex owes me over 45,000 and hasn't paid a dime but this office says the case is closed. I contacted State BAR and was told the lawyer didn't technically violate any law but that I should look in to a malpractice lawsuit against him. I have since gotten a new lawyer and will do so after this one gets me the money from my settlement. I would not use this lawyer again, he seemed pretty good in a court room by prefers to settle out of court.
