I would have been MUCH better off if I would have simply conceded to my plaintiff, handed over everything they had asked for in the lawsuit, and walk away. After paying $300 for a private consultation (first mistake) this seemingly competent and well-organized person, appeared to be very knowledgeable and confident that we had good chance. Failing to live up to his own expectations, he appears to simply bow down to the plaintiffs lawyer. Acting as if we had won, he begins to tell me we really made out, and that the outcome could have been much worse. Unanswered emails, text messages and phone calls were very common, and when there was an attempt at communication, the replies were very confusing and at times, inaccurate and insufficient. While his staff seemed to be accurate with the charges incurred, Mr. Drake charged a full hour for ANY researches or communications he supposedly made. By all means, ask more than 1 person for a referral; it was a dismal failure on my part.
