I can not in good faith write anything positive. High para turnover rate, unprepared for trial, multiple billing issues. Often redundant and refuses to follow direct orders regarding not letting OC walk all over him. Each and every trial strategy failed, could or did not anticipate OC arguments, refused to let me rebuttal. Seek legal counsel elsewhere.

I hired Kelly Shattuck to handle my divorce and a request to move out of the state of Nebraska with my kids. I had interviewed several attorneys before deciding upon Kelly because I felt he knew the law and he was able to give a road map of what to expect and what needed to be done to accomplish my goals. He didn't sugar coat the process to get my business like some of the other attorneys did that I had interviewed. Mr. Shattuck did everything he had informed me would be done and I felt he and his staff did an excellent job preparing my case for trial. I was especially happy with his staff who were well informed and genuinely interested in the outcome. While the process was long and not easy, I was kept up to date with the developments in my case and he had me and my witnesses ready for trial. At trial he was amazing and I was successful. I highly recommend Mr. Shattuck to anyone going through a divorce or family law matter.

We hired Kelly in a matter he did not inform us was out of his expertise. He made a court appearance and literally did nothing, in my opinion, to help. To say he was "worthless" for us is incorrect because we are now in the hole. He was paid roughly $10,000 and is SUING us for another $2k. The outfit he uses to collect are just what you'd expect: Rude and condescending. My family was financially ruined in the last year, and while we try to figure out how to feed our family, Kelly Shattuck sent collector after us to pay him an additional $2000 on top of the $10K.
The best part is he went after us WHILE we were still in court for what HE DID NOT TAKE CARE OF. Before even six months passed, and after he was paid $10K, and after he expressly said we could work out a payment arrangement, he SUED US.
If you hire Mr. Shattuck, maybe it will work out. For us, though, I'm trying to figure out how to feed my kids while his collection agency is threatening me with court over $2000.

I would seriously hire someone else. Terrible communication. Little to nothing done in the about 3 years and over 10k. I wish I would have found these reviews sooner.

I hired Mr. Shaddix law firm to serve papers to my estranged wife who is trying to leave the state with my four-year-old several years ago. Not only did they not get her served, therefore she left state with my son and I did not get to see him for four years but they turn around and charged me additional money on top of the retainer which they kept all of and all that I got in return was one court Appearance. I would never recommend this man nor do I believe or trust his ethics, morals, and he is completely untrustworthy. Great smooth talker upfront but delivers nothing.

If I could give more stars I would! I had FANTASTIC representation from Kelly Shattuck. I recently went through a custody battle for my now 9 month old son. I had previous representation before Kelly from a lawyer I found online that offered a free consultation. This lawyer left me in a terrible situation where a plan to phase into joint custody was in place. I am a young mom (19) and this first lawyer took advantage of me and left me with a massive bill. Kelly not only helpe me avoid paying the fraudulent bill, but he ended up getting me SOLE physical custody. He was knowledgable, professional and realistic from the beginning. Kelly charges more then most lawyers, but he is more efficient with his time thus actually saving you money. I'm so thankful I went to him. I very much recommend him and encourage you to set up a consultation. You won't be sorry.

"The best lawyer ever! "
Kelly Shattuck is an outstanding lawyer. He showed great interest in my divorce case. Kelly was there to protect me and my interests. I was awarded everything I asked for. He was very thorough and efficient. Kelly is not one of those lawyers who just wants your money. I felt like he genuinely cared. He was always there to answer any of my questions and give me guidance through the divorce. He and his staff were great! I definitely recommend Kelly Shattuck if you are looking for a good divorce attorney.

I used Kelly to establish new rights as a father. The process was long and very drawn out but Kelly was there every step of the way. He explained the process to me well, answered any questions I had and was an absolute genius in the courtroom. I got what I wanted and more and I owe a lot of the credit to Kelly. If you are looking for someone who will fight for father's rights, I dont think you can go wrong with Kelly.

I would like the majority of correspondence to be by email. I felt some of the snail mail I received was duplicates and my invoices were originally going to the wrong address. I hate calling the office unless I have to because I know how much it actually cots to talk to someone.

I was very pleased with the services I received from Kelly Shattuck and his knowledge team. I feel that Mr. Shattuck fought hard for me and my daughter and I was grateful they were able to work with me on a payment plan. Kelly was amazing in the court room once we went to trial. I don't think my ex husband and his lawyer knew what they were up against! I was very impressed with the outcome of my divorce and custody battle and recommend this law firm to everyone!

This man is despicable-do not waste your time or hard earned money retaining him. He's all about getting your money, and doing nothing for you. He drug out my case, and did not represent me or my daughter worth a darn. He made decisions without consulting me first-including an affidavit for a court date that I wasn't made aware of until after it happened. There is little to no communication and he was very condisending and down right rude. Please do yourself a favor and do not use Kelly for legal representation!

I strongly warn anyone against retaining this gentleman. After Kelly gets your check, he practically forgets your name, and definitely forgets your telephone number. I was finally forced to spend thousands more of my savings to retain another firm after no action whatsoever was taken in my case. Unbelievably disappointing. I was also charged for telephone calls that never took place- I guess they decided taking my money and not helping me wasn't bad enough, they had to pad the bill. I told everyone in my support group and at my office to NEVER use Kelly Shattuck for anything, and I am glad I have the opportunity to tell others on this site.

Kelly is amazing. He believed in me when I could not find an attorney to represent me. I am a female and I felt he was honest and fought hard for my son and I. I got full custody.

Terrible communication, condescending attitude, is not pro-active - I had to continually get on him to get things done and then he still gave me the "I don't know what you want me to do" response. If I emailed questions they would go unanswered. I never knew the status of my case. His staff and the other lawyer I worked with in the office were very helpful. Not satisfied with him at all and let him go. My next lawyer was much more willing to fight for me and communicate the way I needed.

Kelly is the second Lawyer I have retained in the past 11 years. If I would have had him when I first got divorced I wouldn't have had to get a lawyer 11 years later and I would have custody of my kids! All attorneys cost money, that is just a fact. You get what you pay for and I am grateful I chose Kelly.

I went to him about 2-3 weeks ago and my case is now done. I'm not sure people realize that a lawyer is only as good as the case that YOU provide them with - mine was rock solid. I was honest with him, he was honest with me. A lawyer isn't supposed to tell you what you want to hear, and you might be surprised to know that if you bring in every single thing they need in order to represent you, then they will. From the sound of it, I'm getting money back from my retainer too - I've NEVER heard of a lawyer doing that!! His prices are normal too.

He said everything I wanted to hear before I wrote the big check out. He was terrible with follow up and I feel as though he forgot about my case, even sending me letters with the wrong client name... He did little work on my case and did not fight for me and drug a simple case out for over a year, he even frustrated the other attorney for taking so long. For the little work he did, he way overcharged. I would not recommend using this attorney. It's really too bad that hard working people seeking legal counsel, spending big money that takes forever to save, is taken by someone who does very little to earn it.

Terrible service and communication. He did absolutely nothing for my case, in fact I would go a couple of months without hearing from him, when I called or emailed to find out what was going on, then he would finally do something. Don't waste your money, I would have been better off representing myself.
