was not represented by Donna, however my husband was. He is in the military and our divorce was not typical. She took that poor military man for such a financial ride... to the tune of close to $13000, to settle a divorce that was amicable and agreed upon from the get go. The only reason I ended up finding my own representation was because she began threatening me and black mailing me with my children. The above review mentioned her lack of ability to keep "facts" straight... my case was exactly the same. She filed documents against me riddled with lies that I can prove through email correspondence with her that she knew were lies, just to further complicate the case and force us to go to trial so she could further line her wallet. It was truly disgraceful. She wears a cross and I'm assuming calls her self a Christian. But she is a liar and a thief. On the flip side, she's pretty entertaining to watch at work. Reminded me a lot of an episode of the Three Stooges. At the end of the day,

Donna is an excellent attorney who represented me in two trials and prevailed in the areas of spousal maintenance and child support on both occasions. Donna is tenacious and will fight for your rights. I would highly recommend her services.

For family law, Donna does not represent her clients well. She failed to inform court that I answered wrong on an extremely crucial question. As a result, future detrimental decisions were made and events happened with a domino effect for the kids and me. Donna wrote an appeal for my case, but she told me that I couldn't appeal the custody and failed to submit proper paperwork for the courts to fully assess my case. She was also late for a hearing which caused me to lose time for presenting my side.

Ms. Donna Hougen is diligent and goes beyond what one would expect from an attorney. She spends time listening to you and trying to understand your situation. She and her staff were always helpful and courteous and came through when I asked for assistance.
