My family recently was facing a huge challenge to keep our family together. Kim Timpa was a life saver in helping my family overcome a huge obstacle. The reviews I am reading could not be further from the truth given our recent experience. Our family is definitely a family on a budget and we were very concerned with being able to find competent representation in our legal challenge. Without the help of Kim Timpa at what was a very reasonable rate I have no doubt our family would have been separated. Keep in my mind our case was outside of her Rockwall roots and she still kicked a** Kim always took our calls and returned any messages promptly. In fact when it comes to having an investment in a case I can not recall having a more caring and knowledgeable attorney. Do not let the bitter reviews deter you from considering Kim Timpa for representation. It could cost you much more than money.

Kim Timpa helped me with my divorce. She was exactly what I needed. Her experience and wisdom were so helpful in working through this process. I always knew I had a skilled advocate by my side. If you are looking for the best you can get, she’s it.

Kim Timpa is a joke. As the reviews state, she just bills her client and has no sincere interest in the parties nor their children. She claims she is representing her client's best interest but she is unethical in her approach. She files ridiculous motions and promises results that are unreasonable - which she should know better with all her years of experience. She will bill and bill, promise and promise and you will be left with a hugh legal bill and looking like a fool when the final order is entered. BEWARE!!!!

Hire her if you want to spend ALOT of money and take a simple divorce and turn it into a full custody battle. Expect your divorce to take 9+ months while she's cashing in your checks and filing unnecessary motions to pad her already absurd bill. Don't expect to be on speaking terms with your ex-spouse after this either.

I met with Kim Timpa for a $300 consult, a dead giveaway that she doesn't act in the best interest of the client but rather in her own financial interest, her primary function. (Most consults are free!) KNOWLEDGE/ COMMUNICATION: She could not remember the facts of my case from one meeting to the next, spending the first half of every hour that we met at $300 pr/hr asking about my case history! QUALITY/ VALUE: She is VERY loose with your investment in her, which is ultimately an investment in your family. I retained Kim Timpa's services after adamantly expressing to her that I thought her services were outside my financial means, wherein she promised that she would "take care of me". The only thing she took care of was cashing checks, without ever actually representing me in court! She then called me a charity case after demanding an additional $2,500 3 days prior to mediation - under threat of withdrawal. Horrible manipulative person: YES Attorney: ????

Ms Timpa is very difficult to deal with. She really didn't have my best interest in mind. After spending $23,000 for a basically "vanilla"divorce, I didn't feel that it was money well spent. She is constantly telling you what you owe her money but friday (even though I always paid her on time). Every issue that I brought up was met with "thats going to cost you alot more money" or she didn't really listen at all! I would NEVER recommend Ms Timpa. In fact, I wanted to fire her but I had already spent so much money on her that I ended up sticking it out. Beware...she is a billing machine!

I am going through a nasty custody battle and so far having her as my lawyer has gone in my favor. She is very good at what she does and knows her way around the courtroom. Her communication is lacking, but lawyers aren't meant to have relationships with you. She is tough and that is exactly what my ex needs.

Kim is a very hard person to deal with. She is very unpleasant and does not care about her clients. I can not recommend this firm.

This lawyer is an angry person and isn't reasonable nor does she seem to have her clients' best interests in mind. She is very rude and and does not work to settle cases or strategize in a way that is in the best interest of the parties or their children. I would not recommend her. She lacks communication and negotiation skills, and has a terrible bedside manner.

I was really worried going into my divorce that it was going to be worse tha it was. Kim was an excellent advocate for me and my children. She made the process as painless as it could be!
