You will be very sorry if you hire this lawyer and you might even lose everything. He will charge you huge amounts for nothing and then, even though you had him, he will sue you for more after a year or so - saying you never paid. He is a criminal and needs to be dealt with legally. If you have already had a bad experience with this attorney, please file a grievance.

Worse lawyer every hired for my case. He took my money and sued me. He did not do the job and made my case worse. I got contempt order because of him and fined for $500. Please check his record in stat of Nebraska. He has two state claim. I should have done that. It's too late for me now. So, please don't hire. Stay away from this lawyer. Communication is really poor and over all rating is less than 1.

If you are in need of an attorney do not use John Eker. He is a terrible attorney. He will not represent you or work for you like he should. He will agree with whatever the other party suggest even if you say not to. He will forget your court dates, forget to file documents and even forget who you are sometimes. He will try to drag out your case to make money. And you will not get what you hired him to get. He is a pushover not a fighter. He will talk you forever at appointments about everything else except your case and try to charge you that time. You will do all the work and have to tell him what needs to be done and he will get mad when you type up or do something better than him. Then he will throw you under the bus to the courts and withdraw from representing you. He did this to me 2dys before my trial. Do not use this guy. And tell anyone looking for representation not to as well. Correction with the it wasn't 2dys before my trial, it wasn't even 24hrs before it.

John Eker can make a bad situation worse. My personal experience.... Says all the right things at the beginning. Then it goes horribly wrong from there. The opposing attorney even threatened to sue him during our proceedings. He is the cheapest WHEN HE FIRST HAS YOU SIT IN HIS CAT HAIR INFESTED LIVING ROOM but he will hand you a huge bill that he makes you sign just before you walk in the courtroom....Literally!STAY CLEAR!!!!

He is the worst lawyer I have ever had the pleasure of paying for nothing. very unorganized and his communication skills are horrible. Do Not hire this chump.

I am currently using this lawyer, and even regreting it. In the beginning he makes you feel comfortable and pumped up about your case, but along the way, he starts making ridiculous charges. Documentations starts looking odd. I am in need of a simple custody, and the mother of my child has shown to be lacking a lot of things. My case should be an easy win, but he would not deliver as he promised or claims. He drags his feet a lot and all buddy-buddy with a lawyer he's up-against in my custody battle. I have realized he's also rated horribly in other websites. He communicates poorly to clients as well. Beware, when they say "cheapest"..it means the most expensive, but nothing to deliver. Now I'm investigating him on side.

I went thru a lengthy very costly custody battle. My ex had access to more funds then I did. I ended up having to let my team of expensive lawyers go. I was blessed to find Mr.Eker. He was affordable, had great knowledge and really cared about the well being of my family. He got the case settled within a month. I have no doubt that John is a fantastic lawyer. He can get the job done, and his actions are fast and to the point. I have two other friends using him and they also are very happy with his work. If you want a affordable lawyer and win your case,hire Mr.Eker.

I had hired this lawyer many years ago, and he didn't do his job. I had already mapped out everything for the paperwork - my ex & I were in AGREEMENT on these things. He botched them entirely, and I demanded he change them. After weeks & then into months of him failing to change them, and trying to charge me saying that he DID, I took him to the State Bar Association. I presented them with identical paperwork that had fax dates on them, and then noted everything I wanted erased from my bill because he flat out just didn't do it. He agreed & I basically got my money back (didn't pay for that). I fired him & finished the entire divorce on my OWN in 3-4 months after that. He was ALSO sympathetic to my ex-husband very obviously when we spoke (I always brought a witness to our convos) & tried to get me to pay for everything for my ex. Horrible horrible "lawyer".

DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER!!! This Lawyer did not do his job, only charge me for services he never producced. I had to hire a different attorney to continue and finish my case. This case was a very simple modification case. John Eker then sued me for 6500.00, after i already paid him $1300.00, for services he never provided. I fought him on this, I then got dates mixed up and was unable to attend 1 hearing out of several, he won by default. The judge told me i would have won, if i showed up. Eker and i made agreement in front of a Judge. He broke the agreement, i began paying him monthly, he then took me back to court, saying I wasnt paying him. He did not show up the day of this court. The Judge told me he would not bother me again. Eker then took me back to court a year later, this judge would not let me speak on my behalf. Eker now has my most intimate information, soc sec number. So now he will put a lien on my house, for how much, i don't know, i guess what ever he wants.
