Joan Swartz was a mediator for my civil case. I found her not to be impartial but instead seemed to defend the actions of the defense attorney and at times, to plead on behalf of the defense. Furthermore, during the caucus meetings, Mrs. Swartz repeatedly talked over me refusing to listen to any of my arguments and repeatedly advised that my case did not hold water & that I was basically foolish to take my chances in court. I was waiting for the judge to rule on a summary judgment and once again, she kept saying that I was basically foolish to take the chance because as she also stated several times, there was no way that the judge would ever rule in my favor. Also, I am pro see in my case, and because I was bouncing ideas off a family member who is an attorney that has more experience with a mediation process than I was, she stated that I was required to disclose to her the name of my family member; and when I stated that I did not need to do so, she argued several times and stated t
