AVOID. Short version: Lack of understanding of court procedure, poor communication, slow to act, extra fees. For more detail, read on.
We chose to work with this attorney, despite his fees being higher than average for adoption, because we were sold on the idea that he would take care of everything, and that he was proficient in all matters regarding adoption. In our case, we were informed that handling a case in another court, not one the attorney is used to, would not be a problem. But that translated to more billable hours due to additional travel...travel that occurred because the attorney did understand the court or court's process. On two occasions, I personally had to contact the court and/or show up myself to clear up the attorney's mess.
Perhaps most frustrating was the fact that he couldn't seem to get a court date. After waiting over a month, I reached out to the courts and received a list of items that were not completed by the attorney. He did not file the paperwo

This attorney was horrible! He did not have my best interest in his planned. He was not honest. He worked with my employer for his benefit. I found him to be cocky and arrogant, full of himself. I had to report his actions to the proper authority, to make do anything. He was pissed off then. He took advantage of me. He caused me more devastation and heartache. I should have taken further actions against him and his secretary, but I was too ill at the time. He should be ashamed of himself, but he's not. He'll get caught in his doings, sooner or later. The bad part of this is initially I thought he was going to be the best, but he turned out to be the worst! Karma is motherf**ker. I hope I live to see him go down. Beware of him!

Atty. Broussard has represented me on two family law proceedings over the past 12 years. He is knowledgeable, professional, always returns calls and provides quality service. I was more than satisfied with his work ethic and the results of my proceedings. I would recommend and have recommended him to others. It's great to know he is a phone call away if necessary.

Mr. Broussard is an extremely friendly, but a down to earth attorney, and would referral him to anyone. He may be pricey, but hey you pay for what you get, and I am blessed to have met him.

I agree. Actually, I was referred to attorney broussard from one of the other raters and he was real cool. He did call back when I ever I left a message. My case was pricey, but other lawyers told me it would have cost more than he charged me. He was real cool. He kept me informed and talked in a way that I was really able to understand. He didn't talk down to me and he didn't rush me off like he had other things to do. I thought that since he was less expensive, the service would be iffy, but it wasn't. I recommend him, and glad I won't be needing him again :)

Atty. Broussard represented my 17 year old son. Unfortunately my son had confessed to the crime he was accused of. Atty. Broussard took my calls at all times, he was honest about what my son was facing, he didn't charge me for phone calls, unlike my divorce atty, and he allowed me to pay him in installments. I was very impressed. And was shocked to see that his rating was low on this site. Texas Super Lawyers rate him higher! And honestly, their rating is more consistent with the service I received from this attorney. I hope I never have to use him again, but God forbid! If the occasion arouse, I would not hesitate to retain his services for any of my legal needs. I highly recommend him.
