Atty Hoff has done nothing but charge money. He even flat out took an email from my counsel and sent it to my ex asking him to “let him know if I’m lying.” He also threatened me on multiple occasions and informed me that my child better never call my husband “dad.” He says on his phone for the first part of our court hearing, while on the stand, then bluntly stated “I don’t need to be at the next court hearing, so I?” He is unethical, disrespectful, arrogant, and I can’t believe the court would appoint him as a GAL. I hope he retires before my next hearing because I want someone who is solely looking for the best interest of my CHILD, not just a “ward.” It makes me physically sick to think of having to deal with him any further.

bad man and worst attorney- cannot even remember by child name and just wants to be right and believes he is the best judge without any background or proof. If you do get him stay on his good side- he does not care and does not want to be bothered with any details. Please pray for his retirement so he will stop hurting families.

Alan is not about the child but is more about proving you he has the upper hand. When he lacked in my case I questioned his ethics and in return loss time with my daughter. My exs work schedule prohibits him from being available to get my daughter to school but alan still gave him 50/50. This is mainly because I called him out in court so Alan based his decision to teach me a lesson. My ex was found in contempt many times and alan always vouched for him even after admitting my ex was a compulsive liar. My exs child support went from 50 a week to 140 a week and never actually filed for custody. Alan gave it to him bc of his disliked for me. Alan was aware of my ex multiple girlfriends and job changes but did not acknowledge them. Run far away from him as an attorney or GAL. He lacks in professionalism and often forgets about his cases. He also double charges which he was found guilty in court previously so watch your billings from his office

Al Hoff should be disbarred. As guardian ad lidem I have seen him allow a father with a violent criminal past have more custody of his daughter than the mother who has no criminal history. Hoff will not take the time to talk to his "ward" (early teens)to discover that her father treats her poorly. He is ruining a young persons life!

Al Hoff is unethical. He's a liar. He plays games. We had all the evidence we needed about the kids being abused. We had police reports and counseling reports that said it did happen. He will put your children's lives in danger. He's very unorganized. You do something right and he says it wasn't. He charges for things he didn't do. He needs to be disbarred. I could go on and on. If you go to Wisconsin court access and search file a grievance this will help you get information and has a number to call. Let save children from this monster.

Al helped me get through a very difficult time in my life. During this time he had the best interest of my children in mind and answered my emails and phone calls very timely. I would recommend Al to anyone! He is knowledgeable, ethical, and very organized.

Liar, unethicle, LEAVES CHILDREN IN ABUSE, even when HAND DELIVERED A TAPE IF TGE ABUSE HAPPENING! HE AND ABUSERS SHOULD BE IN JAIL. Time to play the tape for the police!

The previous negative “review” was penned by my ex - who wants their ex to like their attorney? Actually, the fact this person dislikes Attorney Al Hoff so much that they had to write a bogus review, tells you how effective he is. Attorney Hoff gets results, knows family law inside and out, and has seen all the outrageous games a vicious ex-spouse can play. He doesn’t just act for his clients’ interests but also cares about the children caught in the middle. When I first met with Attorney Hoff I explained many complex details about my case, unsure if he was catching everything. He then had another attorney come into the room and proceeded to explain everything to him. My jaw hit the floor: not only did Attorney Hoff get all the details spot on, but it was evident he’d seen all these things before – he’d picked up on all the subtle nuances of my case and could deal effectively with them. I left that initial meeting with a huge sense of relief knowing I was in capable hands.

Al Hoff is probably the most unethical attorney I've ever come across. Not only does he communicate like a 10 year old in his order writings but he never gets things done on time. He will outright lie in court and incorrectly write and not communicate court orders. I honestly can't figure out how this uneducated fool could actually get his license.

Does not complete work on time. Poor judgement. Does not talk to proper people critical in child custody study cases. Does not show any interest with childs needs and wants.
