Judgemental, has no boundaries. If she doesn't like you, as a GAL she will go against you, despite it being about the children. Everything is always about her basically. SHe knows it all.

Cheryl was the GAL in my case and her actions throughout the process were unprofessional, arrogant and egregious. She did not dig deep into our case and relied heavily on what was being reported to her by my ex, whose goal is to sabotage me. She was not transparent and doesn't think she has to do the work she should to investigate the case at a deeper level simply because she's been doing the job for a long time. She would not reveal who she spoke to about our case. She made disparaging remarks about me as well as my current significant other (who she has never met) in front of my ex, enabling my ex's path of toxicity and negativity about me in front of our children. Cheryl likes the control with little accountability that she has as a GAL and she uses her role to exert power and control and rack up bills rather than to help make the best decisions for the children involved. DO NOT let Cheryl get involved in your case, your family, your life. You will most certainly regret it.

The most horrible travesty of a GAL imaginable. I am sure she has never made that much money for essentially watching a case play out while supposedly representing the interest of a child that she spent less than 2 hours with. She admitted that she did not even ask my son any "hard questions" like what he wanted. This is a violation of legal guidelines for GALs and was her sole purpose in being on the case. She did NOT discover or represent my son's wishes or needs at all and lied to me about what she planned to present in court. In the end, she presented nothing at all and still felt she deserved $40K, some of which was billed for reading emails that she could not be bothered to respond to. Gemignani is a Disgusting Criminal.
