I have had Brooke Joos representing my son for 7 years now, and she has gone as far as to agree with me to my face about things and then once we are in court flip sides to agree with the judge and my ex-wife. I can never get ahold of her. A guardian ad litem is supposed to be at the best interests of the child, but how can it be the best interest of the child to only take one side of the story and never do what you say. I have done everything asked of me, and Brooke knows my ex is trying to delay allowing me to talk with my son because she has told me this, however she doesn't do anything about it.

attorney joos had an attitude from the moment i met her. she was the guardian ad litem for my daughter and she was more concerned with me terminating my rights voluntary that she took to speaking condesendingly, she stated that the meeting was a "waste of time" and that she didnt need to talk to me, I needed to talk to her. I felt like i was being interrogated rather then talking about what was in the best interest of my daughter. I wouldnt recommend Attorney Joos to anyone, in my opinion she belongs in the public defenders office doing pro se work. Not in private practice. Find another attorney there are many who at least smile and are friendly at least slightly.
