Mr. Heitmanis is extremely busy and cannot take individual phone calls/emails, but his staff is top notch. They helped get my sister-in-law out of her home, evaluated and into assisted living. Are his fees high? Yes, but I don't see anyone else willing to step up to take over. Mr. Heitmanis is not a non-profit. He is an attorney!

NEEDS TO BE DIS-BARRED FOR CORRUPT PRACTICES AND UNETHICAL CONDUCT- The ONLY action frim Heitmanis is when his 6mo limit is up and he needs to ensure his income is secured for another 6mo. Refuses to interact with clients or family. Cannot even be bothered to ensure a 6mo process of obtaining Disability Income for clients OR make sure DISABILITY APPLICATION IS FILLED OUT AND FOLLOWED UP. Clearly a CORRUPT "Legal Guardian" who has found a FREE RIDE means of collecting GUARANTEED Government Income, Tax Payer Money, for doing NOTHING BUT PROTECTING that stream of income. Does ZERO "for" clients, follows no court orders to protect clients from various abuses by systemic corruption such as lazy vindictive slum-lord public housing managers, incompetent medicaid and food stamp social workers etc.

does what they want with their clients whom they have guardianship over. NO OVERSIGHT from the government. refuses to speak with families of their clients regarding welfare. LIES AND LIES!

This Attorney and Staff are an Absolute Embarrassment To having Compassion to our Loved ones. An absolute Joke...NEVER ABLE TO SPEAK TO A PERSON ONLY A VOICEMAIL AND "NEVER" RECEIVE A RETURN CALL. Mr. Heitmanis does not care about the people in his care. As long as he gets his money, he could care less about anything or anyone else. He has a "click" with the courts and judges and none of them will help to remove him from some of his cases. And the sad thing is he is "court appointed." They are all in it together. If feel very bad for the people he has taken advantage of.

This attorney is guardian to my brother. I was put on the list of people who could make contact for the family. I have been trying to contact him for four and 1/2 months with no response, including emails and faxes. My brother was just taken from a nursing home by ambulance to a hospital and even the ER doctors failed to reach him. Luckily someone from the state authorized the necessary life saving procedures. Still no word from him and no emergency number for me or the nursing home my brother is staying at.
