Kim represented a client partially aligned and partially adverse to my client. She asserted her client's position strongly while remaining courteous and professional. She was well-prepared and understood the factual and legal issues of her case. She took a leadership role in negotiating a settlement under which my client, hers, and another party paid much less than the opposing party initially demanded. My client did not pay her fee, but still received some value from her leadership in negotiations.

Lawyer jokes were written with attorneys like Kim in mind. I have used the services of numerous attorneys in the past, and Kim is by far the most expensive and least effective. Lesson learned.

Not unlike most of her profession, the goal was to maximiza billed hrs. Never had a grasp of a case that should have been a slam dunk, and generated years worth of salary and lost the case. Had she chosen medicine she would basically have billed the "patient" (her client), hundreds of thousands and then killed the patient only to say "oh well".
