He couldn't wait to take my money and convince me to plead guilty. I made a verbal threat under the influence of prescription drugs, and felt I could either win at trial or get the charges reduced to nearly nothing. He said a 4th degree assault plea was "Nothing" (a deliberate lie or a display of ignorance??) and talked me out of mounting a defense based on medical testimony (I would have to pay my own physician for testifying that he failed to warn me about side effects?!) In the end I accepted his advice and pled guilty. Well, it's not 'nothing'. It means I can't get a job, I can't rent an apartment, I can't even volunteer in my community -- Because I have a conviction for a "crime of violence" on my record. Based on what he charged me, he must have made about $500 an hour just to plead me guilty. DON'T HIRE THIS GUY! HE'S EITHER A CROOK OR INCOMPETENT. OR BOTH.
