Paul B, Kaplan - Avoid. My mother is an elderly person who was not in debt. prior to his involvement. Her home of 30-years was free and clear. He took out a mortgage against the sole subject matter of litigation, and charged fees as a percentage of her "estate" which are close to 100% the value of the entire estate.
He works with another shady attorney in the probate courts named Anna Zubkova who's husband was widely reported as being a neo-Nazi, white supremacist.
If you want to hire a "Bully" by all means, Mr. Kaplan is your man, but if need a litigator. I suggest you should continue looking. This man, outright lies in his pleadings. Told a probate court judge my mother couldn't walk and then during court intermission, my mother not only "walked" she pushed Attorney Zubkova outside for a cig. break.
