I felt he was very unprepared for my day in court. His whole argument was based on 3, 3 ring binders that he had prepared with texts that I had supplied him. Then his whole gung ho attitude seemed to change to panic. I ended up coming up with the solutions and he took it to the other lawyer. Seriously? Very disappointed. I'm still waiting for someone to send the appropriate paper work to my employer for direct child support deductions to be paid, from court last August! How is it that the court order doesn't apply to someone taking care of this. I felt his communications with the other lawyer were unprofessional in that he would add little person comments to the lawyer because they previously worked together.I feel I got played and ended up in worse shape than when I went in and none of the things he said he could take care of were addressed. Hell, I pretty much even wrote up the visitation agreement. Very disappointed. I would be glad discuss it with him but I'd probably get charged.

Matt is an associate with the firm, and as such bills out less than the 4 member partners. A fairly recent addition to the VA Bar (2005), he is already a fine attorney. He also has the privilege of working with 4 of the top family law attorneys in Northern VA (and perhaps the state). For matters that are not extremely complex Matt would be a fine choice as lead attorney. For matters that are more complex, he would still be a good choice as all the attorneys in this firm consult with each other on cases. I was quite please by his work on my case and would recommend him whole heartedly to anyone needing a recommendation. He is level-headed and did a good job of keeping me focused on the important issues of the case.
