Kessler did as little as possible to help my husband. Kessler was assigned my husband's matter by L.A. County. Kessler is on a list of attorneys who volunteer to represent lower income persons. He did not return calls, he only put attention to the case when we were at hearings or on the the morning of the hearings, his paralegal staff was rude to me, he did not keep me informed of my husband's case, he visited my husband in jail only once during the entire case, and he told my husband to tell me not to call his office. At his recommendation, my husband accepted a plea bargain of a Life Sentence with possibility of parole (needless to say I am not happy about that), and Mr. Kessler will not call me back -- I have a few questions about what happened in court and about the parole process. His website states that he takes pride in his "close personal attention and assistance to each and every client." I do not agree!
