His preparatory statement as a Hearings Examiner in Olympia stated he was not interested in and would not listen to the concerns of several hundred people in the community who came to testify against said project, saying their remarks did not matter. Unacceptable. He seems ignorant of process, and should have recused himself for extreme prejudice and bias to opposition. Lack of due diligence and ignorance exhibited in proposed sewer extension. Does not follow professional rules of conduct and possibly laws on adjudicative proceedings. Dismisses challenge (aka: citizens) out of hand, with zero concern for public process.

Dreadful attorney. Hostile to citizen involvement in government. Overruled as Hearings Examiner on many issues by the state Growth Management Hearings Board.

My experience with Mr. Scheibmeir was as a participant in a public hearing on the Parkside Project in Olympia where he acted as Hearing Examiner. I have been to dozens of land use hearings and was recognized as an expert witness on land use and environmental law by Thomas Bjorgen, Former Justice of the Washington Court of Appeals, Division 2, who, prior to that position, was assistant prosecuting attorney for Thurston County in the civil division. In Mr. Scheibmeir's preparatory statement at that hearing, he stated he was not interested in and would not listen to the concerns of several 100 people in the community who came to testify against this project, saying their remarks did not matter. Outraged by this, I asked him to recuse himself for extreme prejudice & bias to the opposition. Further, his complete ignorance about a proposed sewer extension that would allow future development demonstrated his lack of due diligence and incompetence in hearing this case. See RCW 34.05.425

He is the worst lawyer I have ever encountered, and I have consulted with and/or hired dozens. He has terrible communication skills, does not answer questions, does not fight for his client, does not explain matters, is vague in all spoken and written communication. He even kept communications from me for weeks/months that came from the opposing party, leading me to believe I had to go to court to get justice. All the while, the other party was agreeing to proceed, but this lawyer did not let me know. He has been more of a hindrance than help in my legal matter. My matter would have been resolved many months earlier and for hundreds of dollars less if he had just followed through on issues, explained matters, and communicated in a clear and specific way to both me and the opposing party. He is also way too polite and accomodating to the other party and does not seem very knowledgeable. Never again! I will also tell others not to ever use him!
