in 2009 I hired Vanessa Vanderbrug to represent me in an employment law issue. Vanessa did a decent job in representing me in my case and won a reasonable settlement.
Sixteen months after the conclusion of the case and the end of the attorney client contract, it was brought to my attention, in writing from an attorney in her law firm, that Vanessa Vanderbrug may have violated attorney/client confidentiality by discussing personal medical information with another attorney in the firm. I had not given Ms. Vanderbrug permission to speak to this attorney, and there is no reason for her to be discussing my case 16 months after the case ended. I attempted to contact Vanessa Vanderbrug several times to find out what was going on. She has refused to speak with me in person, by phone, by email, or through another attorney. I offered to pay for her time, at $250.00 per hour, to try to resolve the issue. That offer was refused.
