It was just not good. I was also suprised with her paralegal Rachel who was so unprofessional and rude. She also sent me wrong info on purpose. Very bad experience. Found another attorney and everything went well.

As others have said, she was once a wonderful lawyer. But something has changed and she seems completely out of it. She doesn’t communicate at all and the case work is shoddy. She takes almost no interest in your circumstances. Like you have to keep chasing her and weeks will pass and she will respond as if you’re really wrong in asking your attorney very basic and critical questions. The worst is how forgetful she is. She says one thing in meetings and then does the opposite. Tells you conflicting things at the same time. Her team keeps changing and you never know who is doing what or if anyone is working on your case at all. And as you will learn eventually, no one often is. They’ll plug your name in someone else’s previous petition, and submit a case which is full of error. And if you get an RFE, she is going to keep blaming USCIS, but not focus on responding. The response is going to be equally shoddy. There are other more sympathetic and competent lawyers. Work with them!

I've no doubt that Elisabeth was once an experienced immigration attorney but as the two reviews have stated, she was ultimately really disappointing. My O1 case would've been clear cut, but due to her sloppiness, I got an RFE (request for further evidence) which she then CHARGED extra in the thousands for... she blamed Trump for it, but I only knew that something was up only after I consulted with 2 additional immigration lawyers (whom I had to pay consultation fees for), who informed me after taking a lot at my files that certain straight-forward documents were missing - again all due to Ames's sloppiness. Replies from her take a really long time as while (up to weeks), and that's with constant chasing. If you've money and time and emotional energy to burn, go to her, if not, please look elsewhere.

THE WORST IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY EVER?? Everything written in the 2/7/20 review is true. So not going to restate. Wish I’d seen prior to hiring. Please don’t make the same mistake. BEWARE?? Elizabeth Ames should be disbarred!

If you are applying for an O1 or Green Card to the United States I can't stress enough how much I would encourage you to go with another lawyer. The process was an absolute mess. From a lack of communication, a constant inability to get in touch, pushing to late deadlines and a false sense of guidance and certainty about my case the process was awful. It was an emotional nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Elisabeth has no real finger on the pulse of what the immigration climate is and will sell you the moon and stars until your case is denied or you're given a request for further evidence. At that point zero apologies or ownership of a sloppy case (which I was forced to write 90% of) and simply the blame that it must be because of Trump. I urge anyone considering to go with Elisabeth to please reconsider. It's certainly not worth a penny, the constant chasing through calls or emails or the misleading confidence from her and her team. Stay away!!!!
