Susan...you know how awful you are...period! Scamming and lying to people is unethical...isn’t that part of your promise as a lawyer is to protect your clients? Well you do not!

This is Susan. The complainers universally did not take my advice or heed my warnings and then expected me to have a magic wand to fix their poor decision making. I occasionally have to say to people "You paid for my advice, you might want to consider taking it." Is that sarcastic? Yes. I'm not a emotional counselor, I am an attorney. The fact the grievance committee closed the cases the complainers admit making says it all. Objective people who know what law work is did not agree with them when they heard my side of things. I am not permitted to comment in public forums about cases, because ironically, they are still covered by attorney client privilege even when trashing me publicly, so I can't actually address their exact misrepresentation of what happened here. We copy our clients everything we do, and everything we get and ask for specific input from the client. I can't care about people's cases more than they do. If I have nothing to say I don't charge you to say nothing. Bye.

I had her as my divorce attorney and she screwed up my husbands pension so badly that It took 3 1/2 years for my new attorney to fix it. She lies and so does her staff. I think she colluded with my husbands attorney. I have talked to at least 3 other people who she represented and their story is the same - the lies, the manipulation, the not doing or begging her to do something for the case and she ignores your pleas. I reported her to the Grievance Committee and they reviewed the case but closed it because she lied about the date that I became the beneficiary of my husbands pension when it was actually 3 1/2 years later. Plus she trusted the other attorney rather than me her client. Please do not hire her because she will do the same to you! Pleases don't hire her unless you WANT TO LOSE!!! I spent a lot of money paying a new attorney fixing this whole mess and it took 5 years. I am so upset and I can't believe that she has gotten away with doing this to so many people. Please beware

The purpose of me writing this review is to save other people the unfortunate behavior that I received from this lawyer & her staff.I terminated services & submitted a grievance to the Grievance Committee regarding Susan Betzjitomer’s unethical behavior regarding my case, due to their lack of response.She did not uphold the Code of Professional Responsibility as an attorney.She & her staff (Karen & Pam) would not always explain nor show proof of services rendered, when I had an inquiry.Ms. Betzjitomer is unprofessional, unpleasant, not detail oriented, does not follow up, tardy in completing work, rude, sarcastic, treats you disrespectfully & had no concern for my case.Thirty days went by before I finally received a response regarding a document that was supposed to have been completed weeks ago. This is just one example of why my case was delayed.They were negligent in not including important information in some of my legal documents, especially, when we had literally just discussed

If you are looking for a touchy-feely attorney who is going to tell you what you want to hear, this attorney is not for you. If you are looking for an honest but aggressive attorney who will tell you what you need to know, however uncomfortable, and fight with passion and knowledge, then this is who you want. Susan is incredibly compassionate--don't let her no-nonsense demeanor fool you. You hire her to do a job and she does it 110%. She cares about her clients' time, money, and outcome of the case, and wont waste your time on frivolities. She is not shy about charging for services--why should she be, when this is her business--but has numerous times counseled me to pursue something myself, telling me exactly how to do it, and saying she'd be happy to do it for me and charge me but if I can do certain things on my own and save the money it's better for my pocketbook. Her staff is patient answering questions (and I have had dozens), and are also competent, respectful, and hard working.

Betzjitomir is not a good attorney in that she fails to prepare her client for the court. Do not think that having a Cornell Law education will guarantee competence. She is not a good advocator for her client. Overall, I am surprised at her incompetence as a client advocate.
