5 Stars – A True Lifesaver!
Mr. Nick Xyniss has been an absolute godsend! I was referred to him by a legal aid worker, and I’m so thankful I was. From day one, he made the court process feel manageable—always checking in the day before or morning of court, which really helped ease my anxiety.
Nick is a busy man, and for good reason—he’s amazing at his job. Thanks to his hard work, my charges were dropped, and I can finally start living life again. I honestly wish I could give him more than 5 stars!

I left the most recent review and I have to apologize Nick is a great Guy and he's nearly gotten my charge dropped in a 3-month time span. One thing I will say is you should not blame your lawyer for elongated times. The system is bogged down it is not their fault Nick you are my hero the best lawyer I've probably ever had of the five or six p dealt with

Can't even get a simple bail variation done. Paid him specifically for bail even though I had legal aid and he still ****ed it up and I had to wait in jail anoth day because you couldn't be bothered to look at my criminal record. He's lazy and tired I've been waiting a year and now I have a new charge because I've been so stressed out My whole life had been stuck in limbo. If he's reading this good I've been stuck in limbo ever since I graduated University , one false accusation after another. College and university graduate in school my whole life. When I graduated at 26 a girl at my school accused me of falsely accused me of sex assault. even though I got withdrawn I had already lost my job and my life was already ruined. and then I just got into deeper and deeper trouble also accused by a transgender as well once you're in the system you're stuck. I'm in hell

I had a very unfortunate and unfair situation with a wrongful conviction, but Nick utilized his experience and made every effort to achieve the best outcome and I am very happy that he delivered on his promise. Nick solved my problem. I was looking at a criminal record for refusal of breathalyzer. He not only did his best, he was always there to answer all of my concerns. There were several moments of doubt because of the strict laws concerning my case and he still pulled it off. Nick managed to level with crown which resulted in leniency against the criminal record which I truly feel saved my ability at a normal life. Through covid lockdown my case lasted a long time and he stuck by and pulled it off. Anyone in a tight situation I sincerely advise considering Nick to represent you. After all of the looming judgment on my pending case compared to now being free to move on I attribute this to Nick totally. Good luck to everyone reading this.

Nicholas is a fantastic lawyer whom I trust with my life. I got myself into quite a predicament where I had a number of charges pending and I was looking at 2 years in jail. Mr. Xynnis took his time examining all the evidence of my case and worked out a deal for me that I did not think was possible! He listened to my side of the story and fought on my behalf. He never gave up on me... even during times when I had given up on myself. He provided me his personal number and answered the phone in the middle of the night when my life was falling apart. I was hired privately to provide a service to one of his clients. After doing so, he failed to pay me despite the fact that I didn't charge him for a missed appointment by his client that he was responsible for relaying. So my suggestion is get your money in advance! His client got off, and now he refuses to answer my emails.

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know of my experience with Mr.Nick Xynnis. Far too often, people are eager to write reviews to complain.I wanted to take the time to write to let you know that his performance, support, professionalism and determination with my son Michael were beyond my expectations.I would strongly recommend this man to anyone who is may be going through the judicial system for the first time.
This was my sons first encounter with the law. He and I were both very scared, stressed and emotionally drained at times. Throughout his case, Nick was always very quick to respond, made himself available after hours and always patient in explaining the status and details/developments of his case. He worked hard to get my son the justice he deserved.

I was charged for DUI by drug and it was a very difficult case for me. The prosecution had lots of evidence that could have landed me with a guilty verdict if not for my very competent lawyer, Nick Xynnis. I was charged with over .08 in North Bay. Mr Xynnis found several questionable actions by the police officers involved and was able to have the charges dropped. I highly recommend Nick as your Attorney, very pleased with his services.

My son who is 21 hired Nick to defend him, I was very concerned because the case was being heard outside of our home town. We never met Nick spoke on the phone a few times. I have to admit I had my doubts about the entire situation and often thought perhaps my son should have just plead guilty. Nick had outlined the 2 choices to my son and he picked to fight it. When we finally met Nick on the day of the trial I was still skeptical but was absoultely blown away - the case was dismissed !!! If any of you out there have a 21 year old male child you can imagine the concern over this matter. Nick was definetly there for me and my son throughout the situation. He did not sugar coat this and we actually thought he would loose however if it was not dismissed I would have walked away with knowing he had done his best for my son. My son and I discussed that over a 2.5 hour adjournment that he could not have represented him any better. Thanks again Nick and Merry Christmas :)

I was charged with a DUI. I signed up for xcopper and had Nick Xynnis on my case. We did not have much substance to argue against the case but he put in alot of effort to prepare with whatever arguments and ideas he could exploit. Left no stone unturned. But what I valued most is that he tried to understand me and tried to get me a 2nd chance instead of labelling me as just another typical **** driver. In the courthouse, he went on fire. He was quick, analytical and very sharp. He picked his shots very carefully and uncovered flaws in the case with flawless execution. Fantastic negotiator who fought like hell for me, and let me walk out without a record. I was found not guilty. This man nailed it and fought for me when I couldn't. He had a positive impact on my life and career. You can count on Nick. You'll be happy that you did.

As I read through some of the comments made about Mr. Xynnis it left me wondering if those people describing a disappointing experience with Nicholas were commenting on the same attorney that I have come to know and respect. My case was closed today and I could not be happier. He is patient, knowledgeable and sensitive to an individuals unique situation. Think great representation with the best possible outcome. That does not always mean not guilty. It means achieving the best result possible. I will forever be grateful to Mr. Xynnis for walking me through one of the most troubling times in my life. My entire case and trial with Nick lasted approximately 9 months. At the start, most conversations were phone calls, information was very slim, but all my questions were answered. I also was recommended to plead guilty from the start, which I found strange, but obviously chose not to. When I met up with Nick before the trial, he seemed very knowledged, was not impatient, answered any and all of my questions and concerns, treated me very personally, and not just a number, and seemed very confident in doing the best job he could possibly do for me. Throughout the whole case, Nick kept me updated with everything. Although he didn't make me feel as confident as I wished to feel before we had met up, he made up for it in person, and more so every other time we would meet, and proved himself in the trial and in the courtroom, and I would recommend Nickolas Xynnis to absolutely anyone. The man is, absolutely, very brilliant in his work.

Never use this lawyer for an appeal, he has no experience in dealing with the court, he is unprepared, lacks of judgement, he is qualified to represent cases of petty theft charges or minor cases. I saw him in court tell the Judge that his client admitted to a charge and the Judge told him to do his homework since that charge was historical and did not apply and the Judge dismissed the case, not because of Xynnis. Never use this lawyer, he will just destroy your life.

When i first met Nick, who was recommended to me by my Family lawyer, i was in the process of going through a nasty divorce, with child/custody access issues, my father had just passed away, and i had lost a very prestigious job due to problems i was having with alcohol.
When Nick and i first sat down and he essentially asked me my life story up to the point I was sitting in front of him. He took extensive notes, and asked very pertinent life and case questions that made me feel he really cared about me as a person, not just my case.
He represented me on the three charges, and, had i been convicted, i would have had trouble, period, getting a job. He won all three cases, and i am eternally greatful for his talent and kindness, helping me through my darkest moments.
I would recommend him to anyone wanting an aggressive and "street wise" lawyer. He will fight like hell to win your case, as he did for me.

doesn't not return calls; doesn't not review disclosure; tells you to plead guilty last minute. Reported him to law society of canada and fee assessment at superior court of justice. DO NOT EVER use this lawyer. I have hired another one since him, and can not even compare the the two. Like most people, I did not know anything about lawyers or the legal system before hiring him; I have learned a lot since then, and he is not the way to go.

I filed my appeal in March 2008-after being wrongfully convicted-I have been told 7 times my appeal would be heard "next month" it is now Feb 2010 and still "next month"

it was easier for him for me to please guilty than to go through the trial. he had no knowledge of my case, and took 3.5 months to get back to me. he is lazy, unprofessional, and does not care about anyone except himself. I would not recommend this lawyer to my worst enemy... unless they are prepared to plead guilty, and have a lawyer who does not care about their case. I am completely disgusted with him.

The plaintiff's case was weak, built on 3 phony puffed up assault charges laid by a couple of teen girl roommates exploiting some dimwit macho cops. I phone Earl Levy, has a great reputation, Nick Xynnis answers the phone. I hired him with legal aid so I could not expect more than what a legal aid lawyer provides- however most of my dealings with him confirmed not just those expectations but also my worse fears. After a lot of wheeling/dealing with the Crown- much done behind my back- he suddenly switched sides in trial! Pressured me to admit I deliberately struck some1 when I did no such thing, & surrender to a phony plea deal like it was Godsent. Felt like I never got my side of the story out- no thanks to Xynnis. I got a suspended sentence, years probation, anger management course I don't need. Better to hire some1 from a large firm, where they have a reputation to fear losing, than a lone wolf lawyer like Xynnis.
