Beth’s assistant told me verbatim that had she known who my ex husbands lawyer was she would not have taken me on as a client. aside from the complete unprofessionalism of her assistant divulging that (after the fact) I am thankful she did. in the one four way meeting I had with Beth she was for the most part useless with zero progress made. Thank goodness I am a confident and competent person as she was near tears in the meeting and a waste of money. It seems she’s no longer in business in the location I hired her. Upon firing her I represented myself and fared far better. Save your money. CLEO.ON.CA website with help you more that she could.

We strongly would not recommend Beth Leaper for divorce and separation.

In my opinion:
If your looking for a lawyer to help you lie and cheat the system, then she’s the one for you.. I personally know someone that used her for custody and divorce. 80% of their correspondence were mostly false allegations to make the opposite side look like a bad parent. One of her biggest strategies is to claim "I do not believe....." Therefore it isn't making her client lie. She did not try to help defuse any situations, only fuelled the fires until there was hardly any money left for both parties! She’s very pro mom, pro woman. Her big trick is status quo. Her logo says it all. Destroys families, hurts children, and supports child abuse. #EnoughIsEnough

Using her for my initial separation agreement is a mistake I’ll regret until my children reach the age of majority. Her recommendations which I was hesitant to agree with, but eventually did because we’ll she is a lawyer right, haunt me to this day. After switching lawyers and conversing with my current one, I realize the hole that I dug myself by allowing Beth’s “compromises” is probably irreparable. Look elsewhere for legal assistance.

I don't know the circumstances of the others who posted negative reviews here, however my experience with Beth and Leaper Law was excellent. Responses were always prompt. When I became frustrated and emotional with some of the ridiculous things my ex was tossing at me, Beth let me rant, but then distilled it down to just the facts to keep the communication open rather than becoming confrontational. While some might view responses as short or "one word", I believe this is simply Beth's way of trying her best to control costs for her client... a good thing, divorce is not cheap! Beth's approach was pragmatic, she helped me see understand and assess my own risks and determine where it was and was not worth fighting ... result was the fairest deal possible in a relatively short time span (2 months). I hope I never require a family law lawyer again, however if I do, I would not hesitate to retain Beth's services to help me thru it!

Beth Leaper was my lawyer during my separation. While I hated that it costs money to deal with this stuff, it was a lot less than my last lawyer. She asnwered my emails usually on the same day and if she couldn't - her assistant did. I have referred friends to her and if I ever need another family law lawyer I will go back to Beth.

I called this office before I read the reviews. I was not at all impressed with the assistant that answered the phone. She was rude and just wanted to get off the phone. All of the answers to my questions were answered with one word. Yes, NO - that was it. Not at all help full and did not engage at all even knowing that women who call are obviously in some emotional distress.

She ignores people, clients, other lawyers. Takes months to respond to communications. Has clients sign legal documents with wrong details written in it. Cant even get clients addresses right. No communication with her assistant. Likes when the money comes her way but does not like to work for it. She should be disbarred, horrible lawyer.

Very positive experience with this lawyer. She's very friendly and helped keep things on track when I was emotionally reacting rather than thinking of our kids future. She's a very sympatetic lady and knows her stuff. So glad I went with a small company instead of a large firm. My final bill was way lower than friends who have used the big companies. I have a feeling the reviews written below were mostly written by the ex-husbands and wives of Beth's client!

Beth and her assistant clearly do not communicate. Always received conflicting Information from the two of them. They also failed to submit my Notice of Withdraw to the FRO,which came back to haunt me two years later. She always wanted more money, money, money.

She and her assistant are a joke - every letter, document has several mistakes, they omit information, ignore the obvious, and downplay what is right in front of them. If she were in Toronto, that logo alone would get her laughed out of every court room. Looks like it belongs on the front of a gentleman's club.

Avoid this woman at all costs. When she sees you want to settle and no money in it for her to prolong action, she dumps you. In it for her own gain and money only. Find someone else.

Not children need focus only focus at winning at any cost. Ignores requested responces. Focused on demeaning other side to prolong litigation. Makes pejurious and unrelvant remarks. Will not follow court orders or recomednations. Loses focus during case file.

ONE OF THE WORST LAWYERS IN LONDON... RUDE, HOSTILE, AGITATES THE OTHER SIDE JUST TO PROLONG THE AGONY. STAY AWAY!

My ratings speak for themselves. Beware. Misrepresented. Am sure she did not have my best interests at heart.

I agree with the previous review. Fill up your wallet first then see her. She is more focus on your wallet than on your case. Stay away from her. Trust me.

I had a completely different experience than described above. I was referred by a friend who recommended Beth Leaper and they had nothing but good things to say about her. She was great with me and helped me through a pretty nasty time in my life and a bitter custody battle. I had been using a lawyer from a large firm here in London before hiring Beth and was not impressed. The difference in cost was significant! There was no way I could afford the larger firm's fees and I got much better and faster service with Beth Leaper. Whenever I sent her an email I had a response usually the same day, if not within a few hours! I also have referred her to friends and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a lawyer.

Unless you have a lot of money you won't get any service from her and she drags it out
