I gave him a 1 in knowledge only because "I don't know" is not an option.This is because he does not return phone calls. He has been my appointed attorney since October 2012 and it is now Dec.15,2012 and I have only met with him once.He has shown up 3 times(1 time late) and had my case continued,yet he has not discussed the facts of the case to build any type of defense. His only advice so far has been,"you have to plead guilty or not guilty,I can't tell you what to do." Maybe if you pay him he does his job but as a public defender he does not.Please note that in Cabarrus County if a public defender looses the case the defendant is required to reimburse the county the attorneys fees. There doesn't seem to be any logic to this in my opinion. What incentive does this give Mr.Belo to actually fight for me in court?
