Hands down the BEST divorce attorney in Omaha. He knew what to do and when to get it done. I greatly appreciate that he was always considerate of my time when he called me and answered my emailed info and questions in a concise way. He always treated me with respect and my difficult situation with care and cutthroat precision. He didn't put up with any *ish* or threats thrown at me from the other side. I totally recommend him!

DO NOT USE! Don Roberts STOLE my money once he got my retainer. Once he got my retainer he refused to answer my emails. I asked a few questions that he never answered, and he then withdrew as my attorney once he got his money. STAY AWAY!

Don Roberts is not a cheap attorney. However, you get what you pay for.

Roberts he is the best divorce attorney in Omaha. Roberts is cut throat but fair and honest. He is a man of integrity with an eye on what matters: the children in these horrible matters. He always advised me to do what was right and because this, his extensive knowledge of the legal system and respect of his peers he is the person to have on your side! My head was in cloud, Roberts stood up for my daughter and I where I couldn't. Roberts returned calls & if he wasn't available his assistant Joyce would give me the best estimate of when he would call back. Joyce heard me rant & rave on many occasions & was there for me. My divorce wasn't my decision & the most painful time in my life but after all I actually came out on top. Roberts blew my former husband's counsel out of the water at 2 depositions and negotiated a deal bigger and better then I had hoped for. Since I was at my emotional worst, I couldn't have asked for a better legal partner to have on my side.

Hire Don Roberts at your own risk. He is only in your corner for the initial interview. He never returns calls and plays the lawyer back and forth, "he said, she said" game to try to please you in the moment. This guy will not be prepared to take you to trial but will try to intimidate you into settling. You will be forced to always be playing defense and wonder, "what just happened" then it's too late. The advice is misleading and your rights will be in jeopardy.

I used Don for my divorce and I am a woman. He was very nice to me and was compassionate. As for not returning phone calls, the longest i had to wait was 2 days. His assistant is very helpful as well and knowledgble. Communication goes both ways. Don was very cut throat and got me what I wanted and does not take crap from anyone. My family has used him for years and I have not seen his practice or work go down hill at all. You can not expect the lawyer to do everything for you, you need to put in some effort as well.

I read the other ratings and can't say how much all but one are true. I personally believe that the one positive rating was probably written by the attny himself. This attny gave me next to no advice, never remembered anything I said or anything he said. It would take him months to call me back for simple questions. The only reason I stayed with him is because I couldn't afford another retainer for another attny. I made complaints to him and his office and he said he realized he was dropping the ball and would fix it, but he never did. I work in the legal field so I was able to do most of my work myself, but the quality of his work was very poor. He will act like he cares about your case before you pay the retainer. Once you pay, then expect little. I know many good attnys. Look to one of them and don't waste your time with him. He takes on many many cases and he won't have time for you. I'm not bitter or angry, but I don't want this to happen to someone else.

I would highly recommend Mr. Roberts to anyone going through the hardtime decision in their life. Mr. Roberts took the time to listen to my needs unlike other attorneys in the area. Don is highly trusted and professional. Should I ever need an attorney I would look no further. Thankyou, very satisfied client.

I must agree with the other ratings. He doesn't return calls, he says one thing, then as the case proceeds changes what he said. Impossible to reach, many delays for the process, he doesn't remember anything about my case, everything i have to re-explain and say "but you said" to which he denies. So far highly disappointed. He doesn't catch errors from the other side, sends letters to the other side that clearly show he is not fully involved of the details of the case. And for $225 an hour, i expect better than that.
