I met with Jason to review my case; I paid a portion of the retainer. The exact same day, I regretted my decision. His "paralegal" was supposed to email me copies of important documents "within the next 30 minutes", after 4 hours of no response, I began to feel uneasy. I called and emailed Jason and the paralegal, Mery, on the exact same day that I signed the retainer to let them know that I'd changed my mind. I tried to reach them before they actively began to work on my case. Jason was a nightmare; he told me that he would only refund a portion of the retainer. We only had an hour consultation but he insisted that he'd done an extensive amount of work on my case. Keep in mind that we met on a federal holiday, how much could have been done when no government/ court offices were open?
