This guy was assigned my daughter’s GAL about 7 years ago. I never took the time to write a review but after finding some old paperwork I thought it was time. This is one of the most egotistical people I’ve ever dealt with in my life. He took it upon himself to not only endanger my daughter but felt he needed to actually become friends with my ex. He even drove her and her family home after my final court date. Days later my ex gave up her rights and my daughter and I was appointed custody. This all could have been avoided if this so called lawyer would have actually did what was asked of him. He made one small 10 minute visit to my residence and never talked to me another time in 6 months other than court. Including one time sitting behind me and calling me a liar when talking to the judge. Highly do not recommend this POS.

Unfortunately Pete was assigned as my child's GAL. As sad as this sounds, my child would be better off in foster care than having this man as my child's attorney. Officers of the court are not permitted to lie. I suppose their is a delicate line between telling a lie and not remembering facts correctly. Peter has a very close relationship with some other attorneys and that personal relationship seems to trump what the VB JDR court has hired Pete to do. If Pete is assigned as your GAL, please consider trying to work out an arrangement with your husband. You're child will be permanently harmed by Pete's incompetence. BTW, I have custody and Pete recommended that my child's other parent not see the child because Pete "just didn't feel right". Like a spiderman sense.

I've been in legal field for 30+ yrs & consider myself experienced w/attys. Horrible experience - during our consult we emphasized time was of essence yet it took 3 mths to file the petition. Assuming due to poor communication between atty/paralegal, amended paperwork had to be filed to expedite our hrg (paralegal says atty didn't tell her other parties were leaving area) yet we're charged for amended paperwork. Billing stmts provided by office are vague & when I confronted the paralegal about being double billed she claimed "clerical error". Order was entered in October (3+ mths ago) - I can't verify that because I can't get a copy of the order. Now I'm sensing an attitude because I've emailed again asking for Order I should have received. He alleges he "saw" the email his paralegal sent me with order ... just resend the darn thing/stop being so defensive. I spent $3k+ had 1 consult, 2 phone calls & can't get a copy of Order (frustrated beyond words)

Please do not hire or allow this man to represent your child. He charges thousands of dollars and I only spoke to him 2 times and he did not represent the best interest of my children. His office is rude and completely incompetent and ignorant. This is a warning. He botched our case so badly that my spouse and I ended up reconciling because the decisions regarding our children were so traumatic.

I interviewed several lawyers prior to hiring Mr. Imbrogno. Pete's knowledge of the law astounded me. In my custody case for my niece, one of her parent's attorney was basing his case on a particular law that had no merit and did not apply to my case. Pete fought hard in my custody case which resulted in my receiving full custody. Pete even filed paperwork on my behalf for child support and a portion of medical care to be covered by the opposing parent. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again if the need arose.

Assigned GAL for the second time. Worst experience ever and definitely does not take the time or effort to put the child's best interest first. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!

I would not hire this man if my life depended on it! He was appointed as GAL for my custody hearing not once but twice. He claimed to make house visits that he couldn't have possibly made because the mother NEVER lived at the address she gave him. He claims to work in the best interest of the child but his carelessness leaves in the bad situations they don't need to be in. It's truly sad because the courts are using them as their eyes and ears and he doesn't do his research as he should. Then goes in there with a story for whichever parent he has made up in his mind to be the best. He sent a $1400 GAL fee but he only visited our home twice, which was like pulling nails. He never returns calls, never visited the child's school but walked in court with confidence that he knew was best. VA BEACH JUVENILE COURT REALLY NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS MAN FROM THEIR LIST OF GAL. He gambles with children's lives! But I guess he doesn't care because they aren't his and he's still getting paid.

In over all judgement of him he doe's know how to do for the child's best interest and looked into all avenues of the child's best interest. The review at our homes was very through-ow as well as each family member. He and his staff are very professional. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Unfortunate as it is, Mr.Imbrogno was assigned as the GAL for my grand-daughter by the Va Beach Court System. I have reached out to him on three occasions about some serious concerns and he has not so much as returned any calls. This is the person the court gives the responsibility to make decisions for a 3 year old..So Very Sad

Mr Imbrogno was the GAL for my son. What a joke. He showed up on the wrong day for our home visit AND he was in flip flops!!! This man never asked a question of the grandparents and I doubt he even read the answers I wrote to the questions he asked. He does not know anything about children and has no interest in placing the child in the best home. He just collects his money and runs.

I hired Peter Imbrogno to help me with my divorce case. He gave me 1 hour of his time and then told me that he would not help me until I paid a retainer of 3500.00. As soon as I paid him, I never spoke with him again. Anytime I called, I was always put through to the paralegal. The only thing this attorney did for me was to have my court date continued one time. My wife and I talked and decided to settle our separation issue out of court. I had only retained Peter Imbrogno for a total of 20 days. He told me at the beginning the reason I had to pay such a Large retainer was half of it was to go to the guardian ad litem. Since my wife and I didn't need that service I should have gotten half of my retainer back right?!?! NO! I have been calling this mans office for over a month now and still no one will give me an answer! I have been hung up on twice,spoken to in a very unprofessional way and keep getting the run around. This man in a crook! Do not use his service for anything!

Be Careful! before hiring this attorney! He seems to be too busy to commit the needed time and effort towards a case. Find yourself an attorney who will invest the needed effort in your case. Im not saying that he is a bad person, its just that he does not seem to investigate thoroughly. Lawyers are a dime a dozen!

I hired Mr Imbrogno to handle my divorce which I wish I had found someone else. Our first meeting he told me he would not nickle and dime me....that's a joke. I have done 90% of the leg work and still jave paid nearly 10000.00. He didn't return calls and nothing was done on a timely basis. The only bright spot was the paralegal that you talk to. Which her hands were often tied on what she could do. I do NOT recommend.

Slick talker. Talk you into a quick lawsuit and once you agree, lead you along as long as he can to get as much money as he can by billing you hours he didn't work. Took forever to get him to call you back after he takes your case. He, never did return my calls, I had to call his assistants.

This lawyer I would never recommend using. He would often not return my phone calls. At the rate he charges he is not worth $1 an hour.
