Stay away from this ”lawyer” and do not hire him. Every low rating of 1 star seems well deserved as my experience with him was terrible. Peter L. Cedeno & Associates was hired to represent me in a family matter and he told me the total cost would be $5,000 or less. It should have taken a maximum of six months but he stretched out and delayed the process over twelve months and ended with “fees paid” totaling more than $20,000, an unresolved legal matter, a collection of $5,000 and the gall to threaten me with a lawsuit. I’m not surprised to read the news about him or see that he denies “dealing with” clients who speak out against his slimy ways. He is inefficient, unprofessional, expensive and dishonest. The “firm” made legal decisions that were not prudent and cost me time and money. Today, I am no further along in my legal process than I was before I retained Peter Cedeno and am required to hire new counsel to finish what was left incomplete. From the beginning they were ready to get to work and tame the savage beast of uncertain helluva divorce and child custody proceedings. I was amicable to doing things cooperatively with the inferno and much drama that my ex husband was throwing at us, but when the outstretched hand was slapped away hard, through no fault of ours, Mr. Peter Cedeno was ready to fight for us! Cooperatively and through aggressive litigation, he was successful at both, it makes no difference to a winner like Mr. Cedeno, he will handle it. Long story short, we were VICTORIOUS TRIUMPHANT AND SUCCESSFUL at all three, the divorce, business separation-division proceedings and custody of my child!!! My children's' custody/divorce and joint complex business separation case has been the most trying, exhaustive and draining experience of my life. I never thought things get as horribly immense, dramatically intense as this when you part ways. Apart from the light of my child, there has really been only one other bright spot to the whole experience. Mr, Peter Cedeno. I never (ever!) expected such compassion in a hired legal counsel. Alternately, Peter has never sugar coated the situation and has been my leader, inspiration and true guide on a very complex and time consuming journey. I hired him for 1 court appearance and he did not show up or call to tell me!! What kind of lawyer takes money and then does not show up or call?!? Peter Cedeno is a total scam. I will file a complaint to get my money back!!!

I hired Mr. Peter Cedeno to represent me for a very stressful and very contested child support matter. Mr. Cedeno has the expertise that you need. Peter is a lawyers - lawyer and one that truly listens the client. He would always address my of of my questions in terms I understood. I had emailed him sometimes on weekends and got a responses within a short time! If you should find yourself having to go to court, this is the attorney you want by your- side. I hired Peter for my divorce/custody suit. Throughout the entire process, He was always available for any and all questions I had. I've dealt with many attorneys but none as inefficient as Peter Cedeno. He masterfully created needless motions and sent me tremendous bills. Standard over promise under deliver and overbill. I was not happy with his representation. Honesty is very important in family law matters. He is a little too "slick" for me.

The final bill was 3 times what he said it would cost. He was unwilling to stick to his initial amount. The result was nothing special and his work was messy. I feel that the amount of the bill was too high for the service that I got. Unethical billing.

I hired Mr. Cedeno for my divorce case, while he was very professional during our meeting and phone conversations, things changed very fast once I paid him the retainer. My emails and calls almost always went unanswered and most of the time it was "I am heading to court, I will call you back and never materialize. Mr. Cedeno's most important quality is his honesty. It is impressive how he honestly assesses both the advantages and risks of his clients' positions and counsels them on the best course of action. He is the counselor one needs during the trying time that divorce can be. Anyone who has worked with him will find that he will be realistic as to what his clients can and cannot obtain. Mr. Cedeno represented me in a divorce. He was an excellent lawyer. As anyone would know it, going through a divorce is a very difficult and upsetting thing to do. Your mind gets very frazzeled and confused and overwhelmed! Mr. Cedeno made himself available to me whenever i called. If he was unavailable when i called him, he would quickly respond to let me know he received my message and would call me asap. I'm not an attorney so going to court was a bit confusing at times, but he explained the details to me in a simplified way so that i could understand more clearly. I hired Mr Cedeno for my children's custody dispute and what mistake did i make?? I should follow my instinct when i met him. He is uncaring, not motivated at all to fight for you. I am from another country and had no clue how the process works in court. Communication was horrible and the quality of work was a shame. I was more prepared than him going to court. He did not listen to the judge' s requirement to serve papers and delayed the overall process. Oh yes, the first court date, he forgot about it and did not show up. I called his office 45 mn later asking where he was and the Assistant said we did not have a court date!! So in the end they sent me his partner mr Perez which i would recommend. After 7 months, i changed attorney!!! Definitely not someone to recommend especially if you are going through difficult time. He wont be helpful!!
