Do not hire this man. We hired this man for a child custody case he did not keep us informed and rushes you off the phone. A family member from the opposing side filed an emergency custody and Mr. Yates never told us we had to find out from another lawyer. My son was considered to have failed a test he didn't even know about. Ms. Lisa works in his office and is very very nice. I do not find it easy to leave a bad review I understand we all have to make a living, but the reason I did is because people are going to spend their hard earned money and for the same money they can hire another lawyer. I do not recommend this attorney to anyone. Besides his expensive fee he did nothing in my favor in the plea bargain. I truly felt that he wanted to see me serve jail time, by plea a bargain that was worse than the mandatory sentence. I found more legal information at no expenses, than he provided. He claimed to bargain with a mandatory sentencing that was completely fictional. He did not do his homework on the law or purposely wanted to increase my sentencing. Yates did not do his job at all, and for that he is an unethical lawyer.
