I hired Gary in 2012 thinking it would be a good idea to hire a flat rate attorney since I'm a single mother. He never completed what he started. He would disappear for months at time with no communication with his client. He has closed his office and the people who work for this attorney have neglected to have communication or help in getting a resolution. After three years of being patient for him to complete his work I had to hire another attorney. Even though he had no problem taking his fee of $3500. The state board has found him guilty of professional misconduct. His law firm is not BBB accredited and has multiple pending cases against him with the Supreme Court of Texas.

BEWARE! I hired him for a simple uncontested divorce. He was an acquaintance of a friend of mine so I gave him a chance. I paid him $2000 on 9/2/2013. He immediately cashed my check and never filed a thing! He refuses to return phone calls and has missed two scheduled meetings. He has a new assistant now, Tim. Tim grudgingly takes my messages but tells me he can't make a grown man do anything. I have repeatedly asked for my file to be returned. I finally got the bar association involved. Gary refused the certified letter they required me to send. I will be filing a formal grievance. This man is a disgrace to the profession.

THIS LAWYER IS SO BAD!!!. I hired a lawyer for a simple uncontested divorce and he did not show up to complete it. Later his assistant told me that he said he spoke to me and told me to come on Wednesday. I have never talked to that man. He was just LYING. The assistant Andreina Ocampo is rude and lies for him also. I can never contact them by email nor phone. Their phone line is always disconnected. Whenever it is working, they do not answer. I request that he withdraws from my case and that he cannot even do. I am still waiting on them to withdraw so I can continue the process myself. I don't want a refund. I want anyone who is looking at these reviews to know that THIS ATTORNEY SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING PERIOD. DO NOT PAY THIS MAN TO DO ANYTHING ON YOUR BEHALF. The two favorable reviews he got may have been paid for by him. Do not, do not, do not go with is attorney.I hired him to make my uncontested divorce process easy but it has been a nightmare.

I am having the same exact issue as many of the clients in these reviews. How do you begin the process of filing a formal complaint? I payed him up front and in full on 5/8/2012, $1,600 (Todays date is 9/13/2012. I still do not have a court date. Nobody will return calls or emails. Every single time I call I get a new excuse. First the woman handling my case was out of the country for a "few weeks". (I was never told Gary himself wouldn't be in charge of it.)Now they're saying the two women in the office are no longer there and he can't access his email so that is why I am being ignored.... I no longer care, I just want my divorce and my name back! WORST LAWYER EVER!!! Oh, and if you call 281-591-4700, you'll find out his "office" is actually a front. It's Meridian Business Centers. Lovely. (I can provide proof he was payed in full, and on those dates. I can provide emails, etc to back up everything I say is true.)

Should not be allowed to practice no law period.got my case dissmissed three times for not appearing.then just kicked me to the curb.would not return phone calls,had his number disconnected,or did not pay his bill still to this day refuses to refund money he did not fullfill his. Dutys he was hired to do and still hidden but the bar will take care of him!!!.

Gary did my divorce and I was very pleased with his services. My case was very difficult, but Gary and his assistant help me through every step of the way. I would highy recommend Gary and I appreciated his flat rate fees.

this lawyer is so bad,,his assistant and gary never returned my phone calls got divorce and never explaned to me what i sign on,gave in to everything the other party asked for didnt represent me at all,,he charged me so much money its unreall charged me $500 every time we went to court i end up paying like 6 to 7 thousand dlls,, DONT GO WITH THIS LAWYER

Lack of communication, He filed the wrong paper work to the courts. Didn't follow through on important issues, and never returns phone calls, would not recomend him to anyone even my ex..

Go to him if you want to be ignored, put off and lied too. He does not follow through on what he says he is going to do, I had my temporary order hearing in Jan he didn't file my signed paper work until June. I finally had to get the attorney general involved.
