After working on my son-in-laws disability for 3 years, we decided it was time to turn it over to a lawyer. We met with Taliaferro and he took the case. We got a letter saying their would be long periods of time that we wouldn't hear anything and not to worry. 3 months later I got forms from social security. I called Taliaferro to see if they were taking care of this. They told me to complete the forms. A few months later we got the denial. I called and Taliaferro's secretary said that they would appeal and we should have a hearing in about 18 months. 20 months later, I called to make sure we hadn't fallen through the cracks. We had. They said they never got the denial letter, never got a call from me, never filed an appeal and we'd have to start over...loosing any possibility for back pay. Then, Richard Taliaferro had the balls to say, 'It'd be better if you go to the Social Security office and file the initial paperwork. We could make mistakes that would delay the process." Really?
