Caution is advised with respect to John A. DiNucci, attorney in Virginia. On several occasions he has overcharged his clients and then taken them to court to collect fees. Their personal information may be used against them. Several cases exist in various VA counties. The Virginia State Bar offers clients no real defense against fee disputes, so consumers have no way to find out about attorneys (who are mainly admonished privately in most cases.)
Mr. DiNucci has also been sued for violence (see Cases GC98007653 and GC980022566 in Fairfax County criminal court). Potential clients should research the cases Mr. DiNucci has filed against his clients, ask him if he has ever done so, and compare his statement with the facts. See

Lawyer was willing to subvert client's best interests in order to enhance his standing as a member of old boys club. After emphatically stating that an expert witness was key to winning client's case, he tried to convince client to use his buddy as an "expert" witness (at exorbitant client expense) despite the fact that buddy had no credentials or courtroom experience as expert witness. When client balked, he promptly dropped client after charging thousands of dollars in fees. Avoid this lawyer under ALL circumstances!

Don’t be fooled by high academic grades and “high ethical” peer-review rating on Martindale-Hubbell.com. He is NOT ethical toward clients! He agreed to take my case, charged me $1,000, then refused to provide an Agreement despite repeated requests. Instead, he provided one for “advice” and demanded an additional $2,000! When I objected, he dropped me as a client knowing I had a court date less than three weeks away. A **** with a Napoleon complex.
