i could not believe why there are people give him good marks. i think it is totally not worth of it to hire him. i meant totally. people are different, and i just can not comprehend these who left a good score to him. he could not care less about your case, with numerous mistakes and charge you more than it worth.... good luck if you still want to use him

In my experience Mr. Loomer was honest, caring and had an excellent knowledge of the law as it pertains to Family Law.

if you look up those who give him high marks, you will note either they only have a short contact but did not hire him, or having hyper unrealistic comments that more sounds like he did it to himself. speaking truth from my own experience (3 years) with him. I can definitely tell you, DO NOT HIRE HIM. he has no ethical, no manner, and only tricks, why give you extra some stress when you already so much feel wounded ! use the good money go somewhere to hire a lawyer, not only work in your best interest, but also truly help you, your children and your wallet. he purposely make mistake to charge you more than you imagine, he pretend he knows the law but making mistakes so obvious that you may wondering you could do it for a LOT less than what you pay him. I feel pity for those who left high mark for him, they probably did not realize their comments may just trap another soul to wolf's mouth.

In the beginning not much was done so my costs were as expected. However, 3 years later, I have mixed views about Mr. Loomer as a lawyer. He's likable and comes across as sympathetic - usually. However, you soon sense that HE's in control. It begins to feel as if you are there to serve him. In general, he's experienced in family law and knows how to work with the system. He is good at arguing and strategizing. However, he has no secretary, so often, for distressingly long periods, he might ignore your messages, maybe send you documents pertaining to other cases, and not follow through on sending invoices. (His fees are lower, but is it worth it? It was VERY difficult to track his charges.) The other major problem with Mr. Loomer is his lack of knowledge about financial matters (e.g. tax implications of RRSP in divorces). If he can't plug in the numbers, he is very likely to make a mistake. I didn't catch them all sadly. Get a therapist and a financial expert if you hire Mr. Loomer.

Ran up hours. Cared more about his paychecks than my child. Discouraged settlement which dragged things on. This caused stress on everybody. I advise not to hire.

I had a half-hour consultation with Robbie Looomer, to discuss a divorce settlement that was in force. However, my ex-wife was trying to change the terms of the agreement. Robbie's advice was to the point and provided me with the correct procedure and wording to respond to my ex-wife. His advice has put the issue to rest. I highly recommend Robbie Loomer, and appreciate his honesty and integrity.
